This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

None of the Icon packs that I have work anymore with Cartographer. I can't find Cartographer_icons part of Cartographer either. Is there a way to register Icons and Icon packs with Cartographer now? I miss my custom icons. I've tried using Cartographer_Notes:RegisterIcon but all it does is give me an error. Says I've sent it nil but I sent ("Name", {text = "Name", path = "Interface\\Addons\\Icon Folder\\Icon"}) and it does nothing. Is there a page out there that tells you how to use this function?

Just out of curiosity, whoever is still maintaining this version of Cartographer, is it likely, the new instances with maps, will have boss notes, and boss loot listed ? Also, something I noticed in Dragonblight zone, if you zoom out, it only registers there being one instance in Dragonblight ? I thought there was more than one ? But anyway if any boss loot and boss locations could get put in, that would be very cool. I'm just not a fan of other maps, no offense to the other authors, just like what I'm comfortable with and that's Cart2, so whoever has put it back on the map, thanks :)

"system cannot find the path specified"

i get this error over 300 times when trying to extract the cartographer update to my addons folder. basically for every part that i'm trying to install. any ideas? i just want it to work properly and show me things like dalaran......

Today as soon as I log on it tells me the Cart is out of date and I am not able to use it. Does anyone know of a different addon with the same capabilities to see where and what level the instances are?

anyway to make this ..um lets say ur in stormwind and ask a guard where bank is put an arrow showing the way as a waypoint...i know metamap does but i cant use that non supported program anymore i know the guard puts a red flag and u can find it but i really like that feature also the corpse arrow doesnt show up anymore when i die please look into this...i wanted to post in curse website but i cant for some odd reason i can post on any site but yours

I'm unable to zoom in and out with left and right click. Instead the mouse reads whats behind the map such as the innkeeper standing in front of me. I set the strata level to fullscreen but nothing changes.

However, if I turn off look n' feel it zooms just fine. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

I fiddled around a bit and I >think< I fixed it. No guarentee.

-Navigate into this folder: X:\Programme\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Cartographer\libs\

-Open "LibBabble-Zone-3.0" with Editor

-Search for this line: <["Wyrmrest Temple"] = "Wyrmruhtempel",>

-Right under it, add this: <["Old Stratholme"] = "Stratholme der Vergangenheit",>

Myself and my friend are both having a rather odd issue. I can't tell if this is a bug or a feature we can't figure out how to disable. If we select an instance map to view it loads fine, but after a few seconds it zones back out to whatever area we are in. If I want to browse over an instance map I have to go back through the menu and select it again repeatedly -- it won't ever "stick."

Any help/advice would be appreciated. It's getting to be extremely frustrating.

i have a problem with waypoint icons not showing up, thus i also dont see any nodes form my gatherer db. using latest version from here. otherwise all good and kudos for supporting this version in wotlk.

I'm experiencing an issue of the game hitching every 3 seconds or so. From disabling and re-enabling my add ons, this seems to be an issue with Quest Helper. Going to post on the Quest Helper comments section too. Hopefully this can be resolved because I love both add ons.

Love the mod:) One issue I've had since 3.0 I haven't been able to zoom in or out of the map, or to change the map view at all. Currently running v2.3.6.

After much addon flipping it looks like this problem is caused by a conflict between Cart and Coords. It would be great if Cartographer could add the functionality of Coords; coordinates on the map are all well and good but it's great to have a little, easy to reference x/y readout by my minimap at all times. Or am I missing a way to do this with Cartographer?
