This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

It doesn't matter where i login, I get this error from Cartographer.

I get the same error when I have all of my addon's disabled.

i like the function where we can just type "/way 86 33" and the X icon will shows in our world map. it's not working on my newest version. any help?

I have the same problem and it is driving me crazy. No matter what I try, I cannot get waypoint icons to show on the large map. I'm not sure if any other addons such as gatherer or questhelper are causing it, but this used to work for me. Disabling/re-enabling the option doesn't fix it.

I've been seeing a weird error where icons on the minimap are misplaced. When they're directly on top of my player, they're placed properly, but the further away they are, the further offset they are. It seems like their location is being calculated as if my minimap is zoomed in just slightly more than it is (not to the next zoom level, but maybe 110% zoomed).

Regarding the frozen waypoint arrow, if you reload the UI, it works fine just not on initial login. Been having this problem as well since 3.0.3 patch.

Another update, re: the "frozen" Cartographer waypoint arrow. It seems to happen literally every second time I log in. Login once, frozen. Again, not frozen. Again, frozen, so on. Latest update didn't fix it.

Only other addon running is QuestHelper, which is feeding the wp queue. However, manually-created wps aren't working either.

This seems to be a problem with the Blizzard UI, not Cartographer. If you have the Rotate Minimap option enabled under Display options, it never works on logon. You'll notice the North dial does not rotate. If you go into the Display options and uncheck/recheck the box, it works again and all the arrows now point the right way. I've already reported the issue to Blizzard.

Ehm.. Nab?!
Wtf are you on about.. for a start the addon isnt even loaded until you load a character and then when it is loaded.. you cant see the data required for an account to be hacked.

There is no way for an addon to transmit data to anyone outside of WoW.

You also posted this identical message on Omen, and I bet a few others. If you have a keylogger it is not your add on that caused it. It's more likely you safe the web unsafely and download stuff sites tell you you need to view video (i know a bunch of college guys that got keylogged and trojans from false activex D/L prompts from the shady porn sites they view) So perhaps you should be a bit more careful what you click kiddo. Omen is fine, after every mod update I grab and test for my guild I also run a paranoid level of scans. Several virus, spyware and adware etc programs because using just one doesn't always catch everything. In all the time I have been using Omen I've not had a problem.

What on earth are you talking about? The ZIP file contains only xml, txt, toc and lua files. There is no keylogger here.
