Broker_Portals

Table of Contents

Why would you have actionbars filled with portals, or open your spellbook everytime you cast a portal? Just right click on icon or minimap button and you can access all portals so comfortably.

It is designed as DataBroker plug-in, that lets you access all portal and teleport spells from one spot. Addon will be attached to minimap by default, but if you want to move/customize it, you will have to install additional addon like TitanPanel, HidingBar, or Bazooka and there are many more.

Features:

All mage portals, hearthstone and teleporting items available from simple dropdown menu
Minimap button, so you don't have to install any additional addon
Hearthstone location and cooldown in tooltip
Reagent count in tooltip (for Cataclusm Classic)
If hearthstone is on cooldown, Scroll of Recall will be used instead if possible
Can announce, that you're casting a portal

Localization:

If you'd like to add/update localizations, do so here. Then leave a comment on WowAce or on Curse as I'm checking those more often than localization app itself, and I'll repack it.

FAQ:

I managed to hide my minimap icon, how do I turn it on again?
- Just simply type "/portals".
Does it support teleportation items like engineering teleports or Kirin Tor rings?
- Yes.

Mulciber: OK, I updated the addon for new translations. Btw. please do not touch other languages, that you cant test ingame! I really dont want any google translator stuff in the addon, so stick to your native language, or the language of your WoW client. Other than that, thanks for the french locale.

Checked German (thanks Google) and completed Spanish (thanks wowhead.com for item names) and a bit of Russian (wowhead again, for item names only as I've no clue to this language...).

The following line (## OptionalDeps:LibDBIcon-1.0) needs to be added to the toc file to support nolib version of Broker_Portals otherwise you will receive and error message, see http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/broker-portals/tickets/2-error-report/

Regarding translation, what does the "Ready" key refers to? Is it the Hearthstone's status? I may have to change the translation then...

BWMerlin: Hi, I just downloaded it from curse.com and it has all the libraries needed and works fine. Maybe you downloaded the nolib version? Which is bad ofcourse. If you're using curse client, then try to reinstall it and turn of alternate packaging if you use that.

CrazyBenny thanks for the update but I am still receiving the same error message. It's still looking for LibDBIcon which doesnt exist but a LibDataBrokerIcon does.

Hey, so I finally added the reagent count in tooltip. If you're using other than english client, update the translations here ( http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/broker-portals/localization/ ) and leave comment here and I'll update it.

jwhelan: Hi, I already said in previous post, that I will add the rune display to tooltip soon.
Regarding the other changes, this addon isnt supposed to be working only with Titan panel, but also in many other addons. So I cant (and I dont even want to) imlement any titan specific stuff. If Titan cant hide the text, then I'd try to look for an alternative. You can check http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/index.php?cid=108 if interested, llok for ButtonBin or DockingStation if you want something similar to titan.

I use this with Titan Panel, and I would like to see some sort of mat count for the runes listed...

Something like:

Broker_Portals (P-xx, T-yy) <--- with XX being the total Rune of Portals, and yy being total Rune of Teleportation

Also changing "Broker_Portals" to something shorter("Ports" would be sufficient IMO) or even letting ppl disable the text would be nice as well...

Or possibly even making it an optional "right button" instead of a regular titan "button" as seen in Titan Panel [Mail] -> http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11266-TitanPanelMail3.0.html

Thanks for the great addon otherwise! Please consider my requests though :)

Hey CB, love the add-on but for some reason since the update I am getting an error just when I mouse over the icon for broker portals.

Interface/AddOns/Broker_Portals/portals.lua:238: bad argument #1 to 'string_find' (string expected, got nil)

not sure if it is just me or what.
