History

AtlasLoot was originally created by Pernicius as a plugin for Atlas and contained a handful of raid loot tables to browse. Unfortunately, Pernicius was unable to maintain the mod, so Daviesh took over and renamed it to AtlasLoot Enhanced to provide a distinction between the two versions. Since that time, AtlasLoot has grown to cover every loot table for every boss, every item set, PvP Items and items for every reputation faction. In January 2010 Hegarol took over the project from Daviesh. Finally, in 2014/2015 Lag completely rewrote the entire addon for AtlasLoot v8.

What is Atlasloot

AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game.

Features

Atlas Integration: You can easily link to Atlas map browser if your current visited instance loot table has a corresponding map provided in Atlas.
Dressing Room: Control-click items to show them in the Dressing Room.
Price Preview: See the prices for token items like PvP rewards.
Filter: Filter loot tables based on your class or set up your filter manually (NYI).
Instance Loot: All instance loot from every Dungeon (Normal and Heroic) and Raid.
Faction and PvP rewards
Collection Items: Armor Sets (Dungeon, Tier and Crafted), Mounts, Companions, Tabards, Legendary items and more.
Season and World Events: Skettis, Abyssal Council, Ethereum Prison, Feast of Winter Veil, Hallow's End, Brewfest, etc.

To Do

Add skill / source to crafting
Wishlist: Alt-click on any item to add it to the wishlist, alt-clicking on an item in the wishlist deletes it. There are buttons added to the Atlas panel and the loot browser to open the wishlist.
Partial Searching: Allows searching the whole AtlasLoot database for an item where you only know part of the name.
Quicklooks: Bind up to ten loot tables to 'Quicklook' buttons, allowing you to jump to them with only one click.

Slash Commands

'/al' or '/atlasloot' by itself brings up the loot browser.
'/atlasloot options' brings up the options menu.
'/atlasloot reset' resets the last viewed loot table (fixes disconnects when opening AtlasLoot) and moves all draggable frames back to the middle of the screen.
'/atlasloot mmb' toggles the minimap button on / off.
'/atlasloot togglebg' toggles background pictures on / off.

Is there any plan to implement "found" information to the tooltips of actual in-game items? E.g. you're inspecting a random person, wonder where that fancy mace comes from, atlas loot automatically shows in the item's tooltip that the mace drops from Razorscale in 25 man Ulduar.

This addon apparently causes DC problems for many at the moment!
Ive had loads dc probs myself lately, and after deleting folders and rest u need do to sort wow issues i installed all adons again one by one checking which caused problems. Atlasloot was the problem for me, so if u have any problems try to remove this addon completly.

Disconnecting is only an issue when you are trying to get loot that you haven't seen and is rare on your server. If you get stuck on a loot page like that, just type '/atlasloot reset'.

Does AtlasLoot_OriginalWoW have a listing in your addons menu (bottom left button on the character select screen)?

i am encountering an error when i try and look at original content drops it says atlas loot original wow needed but in the addons it shows the file atlas loot original wow as being there i cannot access any of the information in game though

I never had a skull icon. Maybe you had some kind of helper mod like Alphamap? The skulls you are describing on in your current UI sound like the instance maps Blizzard added to the world map UI in Patch 3.1.

Just curious, I had an atlasloot that when I entered an instance i could left click a boss's skull icon and see the loot.. however with this one it shows a skull engraved in the map but i can't click it for loot. also, the previous version i had didn't show me inside the instance like this one does. What can I do to get the left click loot menus working again

Wishlist / Sorting requests:

1. Can you modify the wishlist to be further broken down by boss, rather than just by 10-man or 25-man? Or can you add some sorting options? Right now it seems the only way wishlist items are sorted is reverse alphabetically? But it would be great to be able to sort them A - Z by item name (best option if you can only do it one way), or A - Z by Boss name then item name, or even by item type/slot like it seems you use in the regular loot tables? (IMO it would be nice to have similar options for all of the tables. It seemed arbitrary to me for awhile, how items were sorted under each boss. But it seems to be by item type/slot, e.g. "Chest, Cloth" always comes before "Legs, Cloth" or whatever.)

2. Can you add a hotkey option to DELETE an item from the wishlist, right from the main tables? Right now, say I receive an item of loot that was on my wishlist. Instead of just clicking on it where I'm looking at it (a main boss table) to remove it, I have to go to the wishlist, find it, then remove it, and then go back to the table I was previously looking at. (IMO right-click context menus would be the way to go for some of this stuff.)

Neither of your suggestions are trivial to implement. The mod doesn't store a lot of the information needed for dynamic sorting, it is grabbed from the server where available, which cuts the options significantly. FYI, boss loot tables are sorted by quality (epics before rares, etc), then armor before weapons. Within armor, they are grouped by type (cloth, mail, etc) then sorted by slot. For weapons, it goes one handers, two handers then ranged.

Hotkey delete would be extremely complicated to implement, the right-click context menu is not trivial to implement either, but is probably something I will have to do eventually, I have too many functions now for a reasonable to new user to pick up all the shortcuts.

Yeah, I didn't think the sorting or right-click menu requests would be quick and easy to do, I just thought I'd add my suggestion(s) to all of the other feature requests you no doubt get.

But I actually thought the Hotkey DELETE thing would be fairly simple, since you already have the ALT-click combo which ADDS or DELETES an item from the Wishlist depending upon which screen you are on. I was just hoping for combos that would work from any screen, like ALT-click to ADD, and Shift-click (or whatever key works the best) to DELETE an item.

Thanks for the default loot table sorting info.

I tryed to use the wishlist, which is working perfect untill i reach 8 gear pieces, is there a maximum or something? cuz i cant add more for some reason :o

There is no limit to the wishlist, it should just keep adding more pages. Exactly what is on your wishlist now, and what are you trying to add (so I can try and replicate it).

This is pretty uncommon, but not unheard of. No idea what goes haywire, but people have had good results renaming their WTF folder to something like WTF_backup and letting the game generate a new one.

I installed Atlasloot, made sure it was enabled for all characters, but it seems to only work on one of them. Every time I recheck the addons on the character login screen it says its only enabled for some characters, so then I enable for all again. I log in, and it still only works for that one specific character. Anyone know why I cant get it to work for all of my characters?

I got the same error messages, what fixed it for me was turning off Cartographer (or rolling back Atlasloot Enh. to 5.05.00 if you want to keep both up). I turned off/on my addons one at a time and I only got the message when the new Atlasloot and Cartographer were both on at the same time. I don't know why cuz none of my error messages mentioned either one (all saying addon libraries, fubar, etc.) But for some reason its some clash between'em.

I rolled back to 5.05.00 so I could keep up Cartographer. Everything works fine now - waiting for the next update to try again.!
