ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
auto-sell has some display issues, it should still be selling (some) of the items, it just wont display the amount they sold for.
i think ive fixed it in my working version but wont know for sure until people try it out
Still having issues with this addon in terms of recognising slotted bags and items not showing up, Using current version 3.07.13
Been using this mod forever. But recently I want to specify the number of items per row per bar. I think this used to exist, but I've spent an hour now trying to find it in the latest version.
I see where the number of bars per row is. But where can I specify the number of items wide per bar? The config options say it's part of edit options, but I just don't see it.
For example, I want bar 1 to have 10 items wide, and bar 2 to be 5 items wide.
i dont think thats ever been there. it was asked for but i dont think i got around to adding it in yet
How do I get the set again that he immediately updated the bags?
I always have to press the refresh button myself
Or open the bag once again
Earlier went the automatic ??
Since the latest update, I've been getting errors & the game locks up when using restack. As well, when i try to remove an item from the bank to character bags, it locks up & never transfers it. Any suggestions? Love ArkInventory. Have been using it for ages. Ty for such a wonderful Addon :)
restack is flaky if you have profession bags on the "wrong" end of the bag slots, and its very obvious when you have two of them separated by a normal bag, which i figured out recently .
im still working on it but it should be working next release
When using Restack, getting the error
"That item doesn't go in that container"
and it won't let the restack finish.
Using version 3.07.13.
same
i think i know what that is from and it should be fixed next release
Thanks, Ark!
I keep getting these whenever I open my bank.

Anyone else? It's getting annoying lol
Whatever you did in the last release to shorten the time it takes to open/display is AWESOME. I was trying to remove rules/etc trying to make it go quicker than 4 seconds last week, and this latest release makes it super snappy to open. Thank you!

I'm having an issue with sorting by:
- Equip slot
- iLevel
- Rarity
Basically Equip Slot is not working. I use this order to sort my equippable items by slot(not bags), then by iLevel and Rarity.
Used to be working but I just did an update and it's not working. Can't remember what was the version I was using...not sure how to roll back the installation.
Anyone having the same issue?
Thanks.

I'm having an issue with the Restack feature since the most recent update. When I hit restack in my bank, it properly sorts everything and pulls items from my bags to fill stacks in the bank. The problem is, when I try to then remove something or reorganize the bank, it immediately runs another restack. This makes it impossible to take items out of the bank because the second I put it in my bag, restack puts it back in the bank. I have to reload the ui to make the behavior return to normal until the next restack.
Is there a way to have the addon display the ilvl of the items in the bag as an overlay?
