ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua
Having the same issue when trying to right click bandages to heal.
Disabling Arkinventory and it works - so it can't be another addon.
Same with right click on the item to port to home city.
sorry, never had that happen, and theres not a lot in the item click code, so i'll need the Logs\taint.log file to be able to figure out where/what is going wrong.
in the chat window enter this /console taintLog 2
exit the game
start the game
do whatever it is that causes ai to taint
exit the game
send me the taint.log file
do a /console taintLog 0 the next time you start the game to disable the taint logging
Last night, when doing a Black Temple transmorg run, both my friend and I had Ark Inventory trigger the standard Blizzard "this mod is being bad disable/ignore" pop up during Najentus when trying to click a spine to break the shield. We've never had it all previous times we've fought it so maybe some obscure bug came in during the last update.
its from another mod, just that its using one of the common ace libraries and AI being the first mod to load those gets the blame for any taint. if you disable AI another mod will get the blame.
The interface of the addon itself could be much cleaner, but this is one of the most useful addons out there, thanks a lot :D
Greets,
I have been looking for a solution for the pet list that appears in Bazooka via the lib icon. I have enough pets that the list falls off the bottom of the screen after "S", and I don't use a mouse with a scroll wheel. I don't know if there's a way to work around it; or if there was a list like there is for mounts, where you can config which ones summon when you're in land-only zones, and which ones will summon for fly-capable zones, etc.
Also, when I right click the lib icon in Bazooka and move my mouse over the pet options I can see; the "Select/Deselect/Summon" box will quickly get longer and longer until the box's text falls off the side of my screen. I'm not sure how to fix that.
i think the menus are finally fixed now
The growing width of the menus is fixed, much appreciated. The list still doesn't scroll or provide a way to see the rest of it; it just falls off the bottom of the screen.
First off just want to say what an amazing addon. I have a question and im not sure if it has already come up. I didnt have time to go through the 224 pages of comments. Question is when I go to the guild bank I am no longer able to see the logs as to whom has made deposits and or withdrawn from the different tabs and to check the money logs. Am i missing something in the setup?
right click on the tab icon to change vault modes
ah, i think i found the bug in the menu library, should be fixed now
Hi !
First sorry for my bad english, i usually speak french. Since 4.3, i tried to make a lots of categories in my Arkinventory to sort my sets. But i got a ... bug ?? I dont know how to explain it, my ''custom categories'' is now too big, so i cant click on my categories. Someone can help me with it ?
move over the category list and use the scrollwheel on your mouse to move the categories up/down if their are too many of them.
I dont know if you can see my picture ?

Its too ''large'' not too... ''long''
One of the best addons out there. Great job man.
Arkayenro, thanks for the rockin job with the addon.
create a custom category, put it onto a bar, and then assign the items to the category. once assigned theyll go onto that bar until you remove the assignment.
I had an idea that would be a great addition to Arkinventory. It would be great if there were a way to "flag" items so that just as an exception they got moved to another category. I could have an Auction House category and send items that I intend to sell to that category so they aren't mixed in with all my other stuff. Is this possible?
edit mode (and offline) tooltips do not show soulbound versions (and never have) because they use generic item hyperlinks and not the actual bag/slot hyperlinks to generate them. they show binds when equipped/picked up instead.
so long as the correct tooltip is shown in normal mode then its all good.
