Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Note: I took a tiny break from WoW (a decade), but recently started playing SoD. Be aware that this addon may not quite work yet.
Usage
When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.
Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.
In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.
You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.
Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.
Plugins
Skada is easy to extend, and there were once many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality. However, there are unlikely to be any maintained ones currently.
There is a page with API information here.
Reporting issues
For now use comments.
I believe I have the same problem. It happens even if I switch toons on the same realm. How did you fix it?
Same here.
nothing works.
Sometimes when multiple GBoMs on a target, for example when I had 3 GBoMs on me (2 other paladins and my own) it apparently wouldn't register my damage for my own but would count it for theirs, saw it on Warcraft Logs which had my damage with GBoM about the same as Skada.
Discovered a bug:
If in a group with a priest, who then duels and mind controls any player, for the remainder of that group, including resetting UI, the mind control victim will show as their DPS, and the DPS of the victim will not show up at all as their own individual.

Will submit a log if I remember after.
EDIT: Log showing how it should be represented.

Hello,
Army of the Dead takes and keeps Greater Blessing of Might damage as it's own, and it is not assigned to the casting Paladin.
Also, if related. When 2 Ret Paladins are in raid, with the same targets Greater Blessing of Might'd, it reflects the amount of hits incorrectly.
If you could supply a combat log of this (as a ticket on WoWAce preferably), that would be helpful.
Hi, is it possible to show in threatmode the threat from players who are not in group/party?
If i load skada my keybindings menu get corrupted, weird text an chars.
Is someone else having the same problem?
I had to delete the bindings.xml file to fix this
Hi there,
Just quick question, since the latest update ive found that skada is running at upwards of 15mb memory.
Has anyone else found this, and what could have caused this as that is seriously heavy :s.
This is likely because I accidentally changed the default number of saved fight segments to 20, from the previous 10. It will be changed back in the next release, and until then you can just change this yourself in the configuration.
Also, if you're short on memory, you can always just disable those modes you are not interested in - they will then not save any data.
Ah ok, thank you. I will take a look at this and see.
I just like to keep my memory usage low given the heavily customised UI :s.
I dont know if someone already mentioned this.
Skada doesnt register all sunfire and moonfire ticks cast by druids. According to the combat log, they tick 12-13 times and skada only register like the first 4-5 ticks and then stop.
Are you certain your Skada has not ended the segment before the missing ticks?
I have no idea how it is supposed to work.
This is the combat log from using sunfire once to the raid target dummy:
Your Sunfire hit Raider's Training Dummy 6718 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3359 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 6719 Nature. (Critical)
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 6719 Nature. (Critical)
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3359 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 6719 Nature. (Critical)
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3360 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3360 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3359 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3359 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 3360 Nature.
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 6719 Nature. (Critical)
Your Sunfire damaged Raider's Training Dummy 816 Nature.
Skada only report 24.9K damage and 2 critical. The segment stops after 6-7 sec, but the sunfire damage ticks for 18 sec.
Skada ends the segment when you exit combat, which normally only happens when you or the mob you attacked is dead.
Training dummies are an exception because they won't keep you in combat for dots, you have to continue to actively attack them - otherwise combat will end and Skada will stop aggregating dot damage. Try your test again with your character auto-attacking the dummy until the dot falls off.
Thanks, that explained it:)
can we get options to set keybinds to toggle specific modes like damage, healing, etc. so we don't need more than one windiow? would be gr8
