Skada Damage Meter

Damage mode

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular. The built-in modes can all be toggled on/off.

  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.
  • Class and role icons.
  • Stop/Resume fight segments to discount irrelevant data.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many "plug-in" addons out there that add functionality, such as:

Navigation in Skada is done by "drilling down" to the information you want. You go to a lower level, showing more detailed information, by clicking on it, and you go to a higher level by right-clicking.

The top level is the list of all saved fight segments. The second level is the list of all available data modes, such as Damage Done. The third level is one of these modes. Most modes let you drill down for further details. Some modes have several detailed views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

New Skada windows can be created from the configuration screen. Each window can be separately configured.

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada.

Tried this out again today, and the settings are still not applied when u log in a new char or retsrt the game. I have to go to settings and change something before it applies the textures and last but not least the LDB Data feed isnt working, it only shows n/a on my DockingStation. It would be also coll if it could remember what kinda data it was showing last time i played, because everytime i log in it defaults back to only show the current fight and not total fights, what i prefer.

You also do some testing in the parser (such as Damage.lua line 151) for:

    if not UnitIsUnit(srcName, dstName) then

    Instead, you could simply use:

    if srcGUID ~= dstGUID then

Everytime i report /skada report party.. it only reports the last mob killed.. so i then have to change the display to Total damage.. if you could add an option to change mode to total like you have for damage that would be great

    nice nice nice addon!

i got the same error every now and then as thedrama

    4) When in left-click on Skada minimap icon to hide stats, and after some time click again to back it, it looks like title merged with first player name:

some wishes: - reporting via the minimap button would make things sooo much easier. i have no space for macro's or i don't want to learn the commands from the top off my head. so reporting to various channels (/s /g /o /p /r and /whisper to partymembers/raidmembers/random [fill in name]) would be great. take a look at violation to get inspired.

    - see which boss the damage was for. only see all and current now. that's sometimes a little confusing.

    - i wish skada would have an option to hide itself, until you mouse over it. could be an extra option maybe?

One thing I am missing is an option that is "Grow upwards", which means that even though it starts at bottom left, nr 1 is at the top. Not like the "Reverse bar growth" that keeps nr1 at the bottom.
