GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Video about configuring this addon.

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Unfortunately starting with Legion, both WoWHead and WoWDB do not seem to track the locations of herbs anymore, so an automated way to provide data is currently not possible.

However, anyone that wants to contribute can help, check this thread on how to provide your own node locations for everyone to use:

    @Hellreiser: Go

You are doing nothing wrong. The issue is because not enough people are using both WoWHead's Client and/or Curse's solution to upload data. Further, not enough people are doing Archaeology in the first place. The Curse solution only works in Windows because it requires the v5 Client.

    1. WoWHead Client (installs +WoWHead_Looter addon automatically)
    2. Curse Client and WoWDB_Profiler (Tools menu, Options, Plugins, turn on upload data, also install addon yourself because I don't think it is automatic)

I'm also having the same issue as Bluekupo here. I've done all the same things that they have done but no joy on MoP archaeology pins/nodes.

Sorry in advance if I've missed this in a FAQ, I've googled for an hour or two and I've come up short...

No archaeology nodes/pins in MoP zones.

    what I've tired so far

I've installed, reinstalled, and re-reinstalled (via curse client) gathermate2 and gathermate2 data. I've double checked the install directory (avoiding folder in folder problem) Fired up wow, /gathermate - import - import button (ticked archaeology) and tried a few combinations of tick boxes and merge/overwrite. Message received "GatherMate2Data has been imported."

I now have the complete collection of all the CATA/WOTLK archaeology pins/nodes on my maps... Yet not one single node/pin/dig/whatever has appeared on my map for the MoP zones. When I dig "old school" the digsite that I find on my own is generated on the map/added to data. I've been fussing around with options for a while now and begging for help is my last resort.

Archaeology data for MoP zones no worky.

    Thanks in advance- Blue

Didn't track Mines in Pandaria and Archaeology Digs at all. Why?

The yellow dots are your regular minimap tracking dots. They are not controlled by GatherMate2; addons actually cannot even see them, let alone hide or change them. If you are not seeing any yellow dots, it means that one of two things is happening:

    1. There are simply no herb/mine/fish/whatever nodes spawned near you.
    2. You do not have Track Herbs/Minerals/Fish/Whatever turned on. Click the magnifying class icon on your minimap and make sure there is a check mark next to each type of tracking you want turned on.

I'm having the same problem lots and lots of open circles but no yellow dots for herbs. Makes farming almost impossible.

I have just came back to WOW and reinstalled all of my addons. I am running Elvui along with gathermate2 and gathermate2 data. Before it would show a green circle on my minimap and then a solid yellow circle once I got close enough to it. Now all it does is shows just the open green circle. Is this suppose to happen?

I dont see Black Trillium Deposit and White Trillium Deposit in game. Black Trillium Ore and White Trillium Ore mining from Trillium and Rich Trillium Vien. I think links in LocalizationDB must be deleted.

    ps Sorry for bad english.

Sambodas fix was already integrated into gathermate it was just a change form mop. if your not seeing the nodes check the localizations for your language it could be missing. as I fished up shrimp yesterday and it marks it correctly for me in enUS
