GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Video about configuring this addon.

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Unfortunately starting with Legion, both WoWHead and WoWDB do not seem to track the locations of herbs anymore, so an automated way to provide data is currently not possible.

However, anyone that wants to contribute can help, check this thread on how to provide your own node locations for everyone to use:

    OR if someone gives me the exclude coordinates (like what they setup in routes) I can just exlcude those nodes form harvest

    ahh i hear you.

    I realize why the data is bad. That is why I want to skip importing more bad Northrend data. I only want to import new Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor data for now. This does not appear to be possible with the present import options.

    bad data in northrend is cause wowhead data for northrend has errors. Cataclysm import will only grab data for the new cata zones .. vashir, deepholm, twilight highlands, hyja;

    I actually have the opposite problem with Northrend. Most zones have a bunch of nodes in places they can't exist. There are herbs and ores showing out in the ocean in several zones, for example. I rely on the Routes addon to create efficient gathering routes, but that became very tedious with all the incorrect data in Northrend. I went through each zone in Northrend last night, manually deleting all the obviously wrong nodes. That took nearly an hour, and I'd like to avoid having to do the same thing after every weekly update (merging the database will just add those incorrect nodes again). Importing only Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor each week would help me avoid this.

    fixitman, just use merge instead of "replace" and you will never lose your data

    or do you mean to get rid of old obsolete data with replace without hurting northrend? if you have data in northrend that's missing you should just submit it to be added like i did with my fishing data. :)

    If I choose to only import Cataclysm data, will that include the new (sundered) Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor? Importing only that data will preserve my present Northrend data, while still allowing for "old world" updates every week.

    Click localization, then pick a language (non english) and fix the localizaiton as you see errors.

    You cant add any new localizations without a specific role int he project.

    last commit was to fix the filtering so it you didnt check filter by expansion t actually got everything before it was only grabbing bc nodes when filtering was off.
