GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

and does it really matter what clouds are there? in BC only 1 type of cloud would be put in a zone

I dont have a high level engineer anymore so its been difficult to test changes. some of the clouds are acting buggy due to blizz keeps changing teh event for the gas clouds.

Here is a copy of the post I just make at GatherHud.

I will post this here instead of where I was heading, GM_D2. Through this morning, I signed off at 8:00 EST for the rolling restarts GM2 and GM_D2 were working great. I was gahering motes of air in Nagrand this morning and went back a little after ten o'clock only to find that GM2 started leaving steam clouds behind instead of the windy clouds it was supposed to. It worked fine this morning so I came here to let you know when I see that GH had been revamped and placed at about the same time the breakdown in icons happened to GM2. The problem could be in there somewhere.

Also, I was in Icecrown yesterday and gathered a crystallized water from a vapor cloud and it left no icon behind at all.

Just letting you know that for now I'm switching back to GM2 1.11-2 because while collecting gas clouds in Nagrand, Zangarmarsh, and Scholazar Basin the icons were all correct under that version. I just had the oppertunity to use the latest version, 1.11-3 and it is just leaving behind the steam cloud icon again everywhere. Since there is a version that works correctly with the icons I will use it and just thought I'd let you know. One point of interest with me, I'm not sure which addon is responsible for the icons so I might be switching GM_D2 also.

Edit: This one has me scratching my head. I ended up going back three versions of both addons, GM2 & GM_D2 and I am still getting steam cloud icons with all of them. Now, about a week ago and I know it was the version before this one I was getting Windy Cloud icons in Nagrand and correct icons for the other zones mentioned above, they are on my maps for proof. Why aren't I getting them now with any combination I through out there going back three versions?

IF your having problems with gathermate2 after following instructions on mmo-c. Be sure you replace the correct file. Or better yet just PM me your saved variables for fish, gas and archaeology and I can include it in the weekly extract. Remind me to beat up whoever didn't give instructions to people causing them to overwrite the add-on with a saved variable file.

eh not really those nodes were actually in an area that wasn't on the zone map, those islands were in the north sea far as i recall?

no the problem is the outdated blizz api, which is still coded to switch map to continent view any time you're near an instance, since the area just outside dire maul is a dig site, the pings are bieng put on the continent map cause that's what blizzard set your current map to. if you dug with your map open, and zoomed back into actual zone, the pins would go on the feralas map instead, unfortunately that's not what most users really want to do. the ideal solution would to ignore user contributed pins on continent map and have ONE person who's reliable remember to always put map to right location before looting at that dig site. and also maybe yell at blizzard for being so retarded in first place. map shouldnot be set to continent view any time you get near an instance (only some instances still do this, dire maul is one of em, and does it even when you're 100-200 yards from the portal), that's poor outdated design.
