783 - Support skinning of auras display with ButtonFacade
When no border is chosen for the display of a type of buff or debuff, it currently displays with the normal Blizzard look.
It'd be nice if this could fit into a modded UI better by being skinnable via ButtonFacade.
Thanks for considering, and for the great work you've put into this addon.

Aoxomoxoa Dec 02, 2010 at 14:39 UTC - 0 likesI have to agree with Ranguvar13 that ButtonFacade support for auras would be very desirable.
I also tend to disagree that ButtonFacade (BF) is limited to skinning action buttons and not auras, although I base that soley on the fact that Satrina Buff Frames (SBF) seems to work quite well with BF. I'm currently using SBF to display all auras and PitBull to display filtered auras (mine). I have Bartender4, SBF, and TotemTimers all nicely skinned with BF, the only thing that isn't is the PitBull auras. SBF even plays nice enough with BF to allow for border coloring based on the type of buff/debuff (with a correctly made skin like Renaitre).
It would really make my UI look nice if that last set of icons could look like the rest. In fact I would probably consider ditching SBF and just using PitBull auras exclusively if they could be made to look as nice.
I strongly urge you to reconsider and maybe bump up the priority on this. If I knew how I would gladly take the time to do it myself.

Ranguvar13 Sep 19, 2010 at 17:34 UTC - 0 likesI use PhanxBuffs and used to use SatrinaBuffFrames, each of which allow skinning by ButtonFacade, so the reason I'd like Pitbull to allow it as well is because then Pitbull's displayed auras won't stick out like a sore thumb compared to the others.
Thanks for the tip about the border, it looks like that'll have to suffice, even though that would be without the gloss that ButtonFacade can provide.

Shefki Aug 13, 2010 at 02:08 UTC - 0 likesVery low priority, probably will never happen. ButtonFacade is designed for skinning action buttons, not auras.
If you want to change the border, just replace the border.tga file in the Aura module.
