PitBull4 is a continuation of PitBull. Differences from PitBull 3: It's mostly done, but not entirely done thus why there are still only betas (despite this it is still very stable). Documentation is written before functions Much easier for third-party extensions. Options will be much, much simpler. In 3.0, there's about 200 panels that you can mess with, it's overwhelming. I want to bring this down to somewhere around 10. Layouts are defined deterministically and unit groups use the layout...
LuaTexts Shefki Torhal Sep 16, 2014
LuaTexts is a text provider module for PitBull4. It's a more efficient alternative to DogTagTexts. Texts are entered using Lua rather that DogTags. You can select which events cause the text to update. Custom texts are harder to write than DogTags as it requires some knowledge of Lua. The Basics When configuring a LuaText you have the normal basics of font, size, and positioning just like any other text provider. Additionally you can configure some code (in this case a Lua script) and select...
Icon Module Tutorial ckknight ckknight Jan 01, 2009
Well, you've decided you want to make an icon module for PitBull4. Or minimally, you're contemplating it. Admitting this is the first step towards recovery. What is an icon module? In designing PitBull4, I (ckknight), thought to myself, what is the minimal amount of work that a module has to do in order to be full-featured, and I came to the conclusion that all an icon really is is a reference to a texture which can change dynamically and arbitrarily. For the example we're going to use, we'll...

FAQ Shefki Shefki Sep 11, 2012
General Why can't I use the right click menu to set or clear Focus on a unit? Setting or clearing the Focus is a protected function and only Blizzard code can do this. At present there is no way to do this from a menu. Use /focus or a keybinding to set your focus. How do I get different configurations for different frames? You need to make a layout for each unique configuration you want. You can use the layout on as many or as few frames as you want. The PitBull4 Guide has details on how to...
