| Icon Module Tutorial | ckknight | ckknight | 01 Jan 2009 |
| Well, you've decided you want to make an icon module for PitBull4. Or minimally, you're contemplating it. Admitting this is the first step towards recovery. What is an icon module? In designing PitBull4, I (ckknight), thought to myself, what is the minimal amount of work that a module has to do in order to be full-featured, and I came to the conclusion that all an icon really is is a reference to a texture which can change dynamically and arbitrarily. Additionally you can configure some code (in this case a Lua script) and select... | |||

Options will be much, much simpler. In 3.0, there's about 200 panels that you can mess with, it's overwhelming. I want to bring this down to somewhere around 10. Layouts are defined deterministically and unit groups use the layout rather than ad-hoc layouts on a per-unit basis. This will make setting up... | |||
