Pitbull 4 Config Menu

PitBull4 is a continuation of PitBull.

It is currently experimental.

Differences from PitBull 3:

  • It's not done
  • Documentation is written before functions
  • Much easier for third-party extensions.
  • Options will be much, much simpler. In 3.0, there's about 200 panels that you can mess with, it's overwhelming. I want to bring this down to somewhere around 10.
    • Layouts are defined deterministically and unit groups use the layout rather than ad-hoc layouts on a per-unit basis. This will make setting up your unit frames far, far easier.
    • Due to some decisions made, 4.0 is actually more configurable than 3.0. As a layout designer, you will have a lot more control over how things look. You can have different fonts on the same frame, different textures, more precise positioning, and a whole slough of other things.
  • CPU Efficiency will be taken much more seriously.
  • It uses Ace3 instead of Rock.

    Hi, it's really a great update! but, still a big problem that: the "Target of target" frame's Portrait is broken, please fix it, thanks!

    Mushgog, the idea is for you to gain customizability, actually. Things are arranged to be a lot easier to customize, though.

    a question to someone who's played around with PB4:
    exactly how much customization are you losing going from v3?

    Cant set any options related to party frames. am I missing something here or its not working yet? Otherwise seems cool.

    Some suggestion about opacity: add a global opacity settings because when you are at full health and power, then if you set the bar to be lower than 100% opaque the "main" frame area is still visible on 100% visibility... And that is a big black box, which is distracting and ugly. :)

    Thanks for the update, seems much smoother and simpler than PB3.

    Shadowstormx, thats supposed to be since its not finished yet ;) however, group support was implemented a few hours ago. so you should get that with the newest version (but no raidframes yet)

    I love this mod already seems to be one problem. I cannot see UI frames for my group members or raid members.

    Pitbull is famed for its in-depth customization, I agree with woodbird. Improving ease of customization, not necessarily reducing the possibilities, and improving CPU Efficiency are all great things. I'll continue to watch the progress. I'm really excited to see what will come!
