PitBull4 is a continuation of PitBull.
It is currently experimental.
Differences from PitBull 3:
- It's not done
- Documentation is written before functions
- Much easier for third-party extensions.
- Options will be much, much simpler. In 3.0, there's about 200 panels that you can mess with, it's overwhelming. I want to bring this down to somewhere around 10.
- Layouts are defined deterministically and unit groups use the layout rather than ad-hoc layouts on a per-unit basis. This will make setting up your unit frames far, far easier.
- Due to some decisions made, 4.0 is actually more configurable than 3.0. As a layout designer, you will have a lot more control over how things look. You can have different fonts on the same frame, different textures, more precise positioning, and a whole slough of other things.
- CPU Efficiency will be taken much more seriously.
- It uses Ace3 instead of Rock.

Shefki Mon, 09 Feb 2009 07:01:10KingSofa, I'm not 100% clear on how you're disabling them. But if you're disabling them from the Combat pane in the Blizzard Interface Options that won't do anything. You need to configure PitBull from within the /pb4 config window. You can disable units by going under Units in there and unchecking Enable for the unit you don't want displayed.

KingSofa Mon, 09 Feb 2009 06:14:01I notice in the r20090209040943 build that even though I disable the "target's target" frames...they still appear. This happens for both the Focus's TT and Target's TT. They show up even though I have them disabled in the Blizzard options. They show up if I enable it also.

Shefki Sun, 08 Feb 2009 22:49:50Looks to me like you updated without quiting out of the game. This is in active development. Files are moving around. Updating while the game is running is bound to lead to all kinds of weirdness.

Hugster Sat, 07 Feb 2009 15:22:45Guys I had to go back to using Quartz because the castbar bugs like no tomorrow. The addon otherwise is perfect.

Gigi Fri, 06 Feb 2009 01:34:03Wondering if someone out there can tell me if there is a way to hide the party frames while in a raid. I can't find it anywhere. I know I've missed a couple things in the past that I found through the comments here :)

cyberian Sun, 01 Feb 2009 23:18:12I'd like to see some more expansive text placement features so layouts like oUF_Lyn can be reproduced in Pitbull. I tried with the version from a few days back and it wouldn't let text sit over a frame border.

novadeus Sun, 01 Feb 2009 19:27:38My health bar changes to red occasionally - sometimes when I go below 100%, sometimes after my health is much lower. I am not sure I should post this as a ticket or whether I can just adjust a setting. I have color by class selected and have not made any changes to the colors settings themselves.
thanks.
[EDIT: I figured it out and decided to post in case anyone else was wondering: I had banzai on. Simple solution. :)]
