Decursive key benefits
-
Ease of use:
- Decursive supports all classes with cleansing abilities and configures itself automatically, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
-
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured).
(Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...). - Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority.
(this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively) - Prioritize or exclude members.
(keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured).
-
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic),
Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
-
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players who can't be dispelled.
(player 'out of line of sight' for example). - Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid.
(preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
-
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and auditive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
-
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
-
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.
In brief, what you get with Decursive is effectiveness, a player using Decursive will always dispel faster than other players.

Archarodim Mar 11, 2011 at 22:01 UTC - 0 likes@Nathanyel: then what were the errors BugGrabber grabbed? What alpha revision of Decursive were you using at the time?
Have you tried with the latest alpha?

Nathanyel Mar 11, 2011 at 19:11 UTC - 0 likesDon't think I'm stupid - I have tekerr installed. The single error at login is just from an outdated/deserted addon that I never bothered to fix myself, as it still works - this has nothing to do with the problems BugGrabber has caused me.

Archarodim Mar 11, 2011 at 09:10 UTC - 0 likes@Nathanyel: Install BugSack and remove or fix/update add-ons throwing errors. BugGrabber is not making them, it is just reporting them.
lua errors are not acceptable, even one at login is too much.

Nathanyel Mar 11, 2011 at 01:28 UTC - 0 likesBugGrabber... before I installed the first Decursive version with this, I had only one regular lua error at login. Now BugGrabber is literally spazzing that it has seen too many errors per second, and deactivates itself for 60 seconds, occasionally presenting me single weird errors in addons that I have never seen throw errors. At times it even takes my FPS to a minimum. When I edit out the include to prevent BugGrabber loading, everything's normal again. Please, let optional stuff remain optional. If someone wants to use BugGrabber, fine, they install it on their own, or use another debug addon like tekerr, but it has no place inside another addon. Most players didn't enable the display of lua errors anyway, so what's the point?

Nerdling Mar 01, 2011 at 18:11 UTC - 0 likesvanya1990 one of the options you can set in the decursive interface is to allow editing of the decursive macro. You can use it to specify additional spells and modifier keys for them and then use it on the MuFs. Although I have not tried it yet myself I believe the MuFs act like any other Raid/party frames and so you could use a 3rd party addon such as clique to specify mouse key binds for use on the MuFs. You'd need to make sure though that none of the binds you specify conflict with ones needed by decursive.
I have asked the Author again to consider letting us modify the configuration choosing which spells can be used for which mouse binds in addition to retaining the automatic configuration which is great of that is all you want to use decursive for.
