X-Perl UnitFrames
Patch 6.0.3 compatibility and future of X-Perl
Use latest alpha from WoWAce for using in Patch 6.0.3
http://www.wowace.com/addons/xperl/files/
May still has problems but for most cases it should be working(at least was tested on beta), if not, clearing old setting by killing(and backup) XPerlxxxxxxx.lua in the WTF directory of your WoW installlation and try again with fresh new default setting, thanks your patience.
If still someone want to help Zeksie for he earns his donates from X-Perl then that's fine for Zek and X-Perl, but seems like it's time to cut him out as no one want to help X-Perl anymore (as many of users already heard about the mess of this poor addon), I guess.
I don't know X-Perl will still be continue or not(it's highly possible it won't be, as the new maintainer Resike continued the developing and forked to Z-Perl, and he said he won't abandon his addons), I won't force everyone should must to use Resike's one at this point, as his Z-Perl isn't stable yet, and for some reasons, I don't think he want to port his fixes back to X-Perl as he knows about how Zek did about his addons and everyone who helped Zek to maintaining this poor addon...and, of course...X-Perl may broken again when next time Blizzard's patches released..... /sigh
(At this point, I won't force everyone who used X-Perl to go Z-Perl until it's more stable than now, feel free to use Z-Perl or other Unitframe addons if you want, and do NOT hold your breathe about X-Perl too much, too. I already lost my hope on X-Perl, at least I can trust Resike and Z-Perl now...)
Sincerely,
PlayerLin - Maintainer of X-Perl but not a proper skilled coder, just a locale translator and do some shitty PRs. :(
Bug Reporting
Please use the Ticketing System on WoWAce Here and avoid posting bugs using comments on Curse because they're difficult to track and they will probably get lost.
Use a good error catcher (like BugSack from files.wowace.com) and provide the full error text, and give as much information as possible to recreate the problem. Don't assume We know what you're talking about with some three word report.
Introduction
Perl, with Extra stuff. Much enchanced from Nymbia's Perl UnitFrames, and a complete replacement for Blizzard's default unit frames, including raid frames and raid tools, with little remaining of the original Nymbia code.
- Range Finder (combined with optional health check and/or debuff check) for all frames based on spell or item range test.
- HoT Monitor will highlight units clearly that have ''your own'' active Heal over Time spells. Regardless of how many other heal over time buffs are on the raid members, you can keep track of your own ones and when they expire.
- Debuff Highlighting in standard debuff colours on all friendly frames. Priority given to show debuffs that ''you'' can cure first.
- Raid Frames, buff icons, MT list units and some other portions or X-Perl are Created on demand. Saving a lot of time and memory at system startup. Defering the creation of many parts of X-Perl to when they are actually required. And of course, most often outside of raids they are never required and are never created.
- Raid Target icon support for Target, Target's Target, MT Targets.
- Raid Tooltip will show combat rezzers available (druids with Rebirth ready (or very soon available) and any normal rezzers out of combat) if you bring up tooltip of a dead person.
- In-combat indicators for all units.
- 3D Portraits for player, pet, target, focus, party. Optional. Of course this may degrade your framerate somewhat because you are displaying more 3D character models that without this option. But some like it pretty, and it does look cool.
- Red and Green combat flashes for frames when player, pet, target, party, partypets, raid take damage/heals. Useful indication of things happening.
- Added '''time left''' on party member/target buffs/debuffs when in a raid, these depend somewhat on CTRA sending appropriate information over the addon channel, although some of it can be determined at run time by X-Perl, when a player gets a buff for example, we know how long it should last, and therefor when it should expire.
- Totally new options window including all X-Perl options and access via minimap icon and the /xperl splash command.
- Configurable colours for borders and backgrounds. Including class coloured names, and configurable reaction colours.
Much care has been taken with code size, memory load, memory usage per cycle and so on. LuaProfiler/OnEvent mods used extensively and regularly to ensure that X-Perl does not do more work than is absolutely necessary.
Assists View
Will show anyone from raid assising you with your target, and can also show healers or all plus known enemies targetting you.
Tooltips for the same also available (on player and target frames) if you prefer to not use the main window.
MT Targets
Replaces CTRA MT Targets window, and doubles as a replacement for the Perl RaidFrames warrior targets.
Indicator shows which target you are on.
Frames will be coloured to show if tanks have duplicate targets.
Casting Monitor
(WORK IN PROGRESS)
Shows selected classes (defaults to healer classes) in a list (much like the MT List), but with some differences.
Shows mana bars and cast bars on left. Their targets on right. Health bar as normal, but a secondary small red bar on targets which shows the maximum single hit this unit has received since entering combat. The secondary bar will extend downwards from their current HP level down to as far as zero.
A green name on the targets indicates this is the same target that you have. You can click on casters or their targets as expected.
For druids, right clicking on a caster will cast Innervate on them.
For shamans, right clicking on a caster will cast Mana Tide Totem. Check the * indicator to see if they're in your group.
All bars can be re-sized in X-Perl main options (Monitor section).
Totals can be toggled (from the 'T' minibutton at top of frame) which gives overview of raid mana status.
Raid Admin
(WORK IN PROGRESS)
Save/Load raid roster setups Only does direct save and load for the moment, but more to come (templates and such).
Item Check
Replacement for /raitem /radur /raresist /rareg. Use the old commands before, or drop items in the left item list.
Query button will perform /raitem on all ticked items (query always includes dur and resists) and you can then view and review all the results whenever, without having to re-query each item.
Includes everyone in raid, so you don't have to work out who doesn't have items, it'll list them with 0 instead of no entry.
Active Scanner to check raid member's equipment for the item selected. So you can be sure that people actually have the item worn (Onyxia Cloak for example), without having to go round single target inspecting everyone who 'forgot' to install CTRA for the 50th raid in a row.
Grim Reaper
Removed from X-Perl, but continues as it's own standalone Ace mod.

More Buffing Features
Can be found in my new universal buffing mod, ZOMGBuffs
Hi,
I have noticed that the frames of both alliance/horde flag carriers in WSG are missing (for targetting, health, etc, etc) . Is there a way to activate it or it has not been implemented yet?
thanks in advance for your help.
Hello,
Ive just tried Xperl, and I have to say its a fantastic addon to have. Well, I am still trying to configure it to my best preference, however I ran into some issues where i do not know how to go about. Anyone who is able to help me out please do, I do not want to trouble the developers for small options.
1. Is there an option that allows me to change the missing health of my health bar black, or to at least a different color? Because I am having a little trouble noticing the health lost portion of my health bar since its translucent, i want to manually change the color to my liking.
2. In a 10man raid, I would rather have 2 large Party frames rather than 1 party frame and 2 small raid frames. So, is there an option for the addon to detect that Im in a raid group of 10 people and changes the raid frames into 2 separate 5ppl party frames.
3. In arena 3v3, I would like the addon to detect that Im in an arena, and also show the party frame of the end team, "something like gladius" but the xperl frames for the enemy team.
If xperl is not able to do this, does anyone know any other addon that is able to meet my needs? Thank you very much in advance!! =)
Can someone please reply to this? I would really appreciate it!
1.
In the X-Perl option UI, every frames' own configurion has a option named "Values" for showing Health/Mana values on that frame, do you ever check the option UI?Also, you can change the bar color on the Colors tab of option UI.EDIT: I were misunderstoood what you mean, sorry. I don't think can change that color of "missing" part of health/mana bar but you may try the options in the Colors tab and see if there has something which you wanted...
2. No such things in X-Perl, only a party frame can show with your current 5-man team as Party mode, or you can disable Party frame in Raid and the 2 small raid frames still remain on screen. If you want 2 of party frames I guess X-Perl is not for that when it based on Blizzard one's design. And I don't know what addon can do such things like showing raid team frames as "Party" frames... :(
3.Due Zeksie didn't do something on that and leak of supporters knows X-Perl's coding and PvP on X-Perl, PvP functions like Arena frame do not implemented to X-Perl since beginning, so it never awared you're in Arena and do nothing but as usual. Maybe you needed some addons for Arena functions. Again due I never do PvP shit so I don't know what's addons is you want...

Before last patch and the update to X-Perl with it, I was able to right click any of the raid frames to see any of those normal options you'd see when right clicking someone's portrait after targetting them.
I am now however, unable to do that with my x-perl raid frames, nothing from right click at all. Is there a way we can bring that back somehow?
ALSO Whenever I play my Priest, it seems that checking the Prayer of Mending tracker option in the global page is something I have to do every single time I log on, it just never stays set.
love this addon man! but how do i "unlock frame" cant find it ;/
I hit O to bring up the Blizzard UI and right click a raid member. I'm actually using Grid as my raid frames so it's not Xperl's raid frames. I'm currently using r844 but it's happened over a few versions of Xperl
@Tharai
It seems that raid frame tooltips are still having problems. Can you tell us what version are you using?
@Vampyrate
From what unitframe are you assigning them from?
Use the X-Perl option UI to adjust the frames of scale, use /xperl to bring out the option UI.
Currently, all X-Perl frames' max. of scale for adjustments in the code is 150%, and it already on there with 5 or more years ago so for today's standard with a lot of bigger resolutions appeared, it's kind of out-dated for sure. Maybe we can increase the max. scale to 300% or more, unless the code has limits for doing that.EDIT: OK, I'm wrong when I wrote that, sorry. After checked the X-Perl option menu, it has a scroller option for overall max. of scale adjustment.
In COLORS tab, there is a "Maximum Frame Scale" scroller, you can adjust it to like the max. of value: 400%, it will affects all of frame's scale scroller's max value.(And you still needed to adjust all X-Perl frames' scale for what you want, that option won't auto-adjusting the frame scales.) I guee 400% is enough for a such big screen, or maybe overkilled. :P

Is there ny way to enlarge my unit frame? I'm using a 27-inch screen iMac right now and it's a bit small... So, is there any way to make it bigger?
It has been disabled because it had a lot of problems. Ony works with DKs at the moment.
Unless the docking code and related code are totally rewrite or else it will just only for DKs forever, since it was designed and coded for DKs in first place.
Hi there,
i'm using xperl since i play wow i guess and i never had any problems or negative points on it. But now i have. Allthough I uncheck the checkbox to dock the powerbar to the player I am unable to move it where i want it.
two or three versions ago it was possible to move that bar. Any ideas why i cant move it? :(
nice, so i have to change my unitframes just cause you don't care about other classes then dk?!
Yeah, sadly it is when none of anyone can made that option was designed by Zeksie for DK to works with other classes without any critial glitches. Since all of fixes on docking was failed and made some nasty side-effects like cause the bar become invisable or showed on out-of-screen area and screwed the whole workaround so better just disabled the fix at all or a lot of bug reports appeared due that docking shit cause players won't see their special resource bar and go panic... :(
And if you want change to other due you can't stand with this, just go ahead and wish about "In some day, some can get the docking option works with all characters, not just DKs"... at current point, that's it...
<script type="text/javascript" ></script>NO ways to disable it for some reasons.
there's a way to remove the combat flag of the raid frames?? in case i wasn't clear enough, the 2 crossed swords that appear in the frame when a player is in combat. i looked in all the configuration but couldn't find a way to remove it.
it REALLY annoys me T_T
thanks for the help
I have been getting a TON of LUA errors since 5.2. I disabled ALL OTHER ADDONS and I still get this LUA error when I try to right click on any RAID FRAME.
