Above fix works great. Its just the "Astrolabe" folder causeing the problems. Just extract the TOMTOM one over the WIM version. Fixed!! Thanks!

WIM does use the new API. and had a provision for the PTR as well.

WIM needs to update the library to the new one per Deadly Boss Mods

" A lot of people are currently reporting that DBM breaks their chat on the PTR when using a chat mod like Prat/WIM. This is not a bug of DBM. The reason for this problem is that Blizzard updated their chat filter API and the latest alpha version of DBM already makes use of this updated API. But many chat mods still use the old chat filter API, making them incompatible with every mod that uses the new one."

i have the newest version downloaded. and even with all addons disabled it's not working for me. i get the error "Interface\AddOns\WIM\Sources\WindowHandler.lua:696:attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value"

again, wim is the only addon loaded, and i still get the error.

I am having a problem that when I click on a name in the trade channel whom I have not spoken to before, the WIM window comes up but the person never receives my whisper. Any others experienced this? HELP?!

Yes, I was using an old release. Updated and it works perfectly.

Pazza,

Been a long time user of WIM and have loved every step of it. However, I am running into a small problem. I am getting some very serious lag (the game temporarily freezes) at times when people whom I do not have an open conversation with message me. Also, when I get more than three tabs open, the addon glitches and will not let me close (shift-click) the conversations and I must /reloadui. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I know this is a stupid question, but are you using the latest release? This was an issue in the past but have confirmed from everyone that it has been fixed.

just found a lovely little fubar addon called FuBar_ChannelwatchFu (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/project-13891.aspx) - problem is as soon as i enable it, WiM goes bonkers with errors and quits working... any way to fix this (other than NOT using this new addon)?

I say stick it out until the 3.1 patch comes out. Along with WoW's patch, WIM will graduate to 3.1 as well with a new feature which people have been requesting for quite some time now :-)

Great addon, but I have an issue I was hoping there was an answer to. Sometimes I am finding that I cannot get whispers from people. People on my friends list seem to come through okay, but I find that more often than not now, I have to disable the addon in order to receive any others. It's random it seems because there are times when I get a whisper from a stranger just fine. I don't know if there is an issue here, or a configuration that I just have set wrong but I need to figure this out because I love this addon. I have turned the filter option off and I use ChatMOD in conjunction with this addon.

This is a common problem if you are using a spam blocker. Known problems with SpamSentry and SpamMeNot.

Hi, I can't find an answer to this anywhere, so if it's been posted and /or addressed, my apologies in advance.

Love the addon, finally just installed it. I only have one problem though. I want to move the mini map icon to a different position on my mini map, and I cannot. I tried unlocking it from the mini map, and that keeps it locked into another position in the upper right corner of my screen. I also tried alt-click dragging, that didn't work.

Any suggestions?

Also, I have FuBar, everything is updated. Is there a FuBar icon for WIM? I can't find that either.

I believe you have to shift-click to move the mini map icon.
