At first WIM works fine, then when people whisper me, all I see is the same line over and over and over again. When I type something, its their line showing up again, when they type something else it's still that line that shows up.
I get these errors:

I know what you mean by that. It's been doing it for a long time now. I've noted it down already here and so have others but we have yet to see a fix for it. I'm guessing it's a problem with other addons. I will give this a go and see how it works with only WIM enabled and everything else disabled. At first it was working fine but then it want back to...

I was like WTF it just won't stop. While this is happening, people are sending you messages but your not getting them. Then all of a sudden BAM! they all come out on the screen. I'm sure we're still in beta with WIM and doing the best we can to help. If this problem is not fixed by launch I'm sorry to say but you can't use this addon. It's too risky losing messages from people and being called a **** for not answering back lol. I was trying to figure out why nobody was messaging me back for BT Pug. I guess WIM pulled a fast one on me.

I am having this -exact- same issue ever since I updated WIM today. It's very frustrating. :(

Couple issues I'm having...
-Have to right-click and select whisper 2x before I get a WIM window to pop up.
-Seems to be blocking /who
-I'll notice my 'messages' prompt is flashing on the mini-map, but when I click on the 'Conversations' drop-down list, I have blank windows with no text in them.

Hmm, lately whenever I minimize (not close) WIM, Wow will crash with an Access Violation. The obvious difference between a minimize and close is the animation of the window. ???

I was having the same problem, but disabling the minimization animation has fixed it for now. See if that helps any.

I have some kind of problem where WIM is overlapping all my other windows inside wow. I think this is best described with a pic; so here it comes:

WIM is overlapping, in this example, the character info-screen, making me unable to go to any of the other tabs.

Anyone else having the problem of 1- or 2-second lockups with incoming whispers, or when switching to a tab that has a new whisper?

Is the opions going to get updated as well as the window ?

Also wondering if the 3 (any of the 3) plugins for WIM will be updated for WoW 3.0? I've had conflicts between SpamSentry and the WIM Spam blocker myself.

People with the problem of the first whisper being sent over and over again, is this happening when that first whisper is NOT sent during combat?

I am still getting chat spam of the first reply from whoever I am chatting with. When I disable WIM the spam stops. This has been ongoing since 3.02 and I have tried every version of WIM since then.

Please fix!!! Simpler is better.

I have a problem with WIM with Ludwig.
When I linked a Item in a wisper chanel of WIM then the text is delite and the item link is double in the chat frame or is linked before in the chatframe.
This is be all my friends and my girlfriend.

An issue I've been having is I'm trying to change the color of incoming whispers. I click on the color box it pops up the color pallete but clicking on the pallete does nothing, infact at this point you can't accept the changes via the button the only way out at this point is to hit ESC and it brings me back to the menu with the whisper options with no color change. This is kind of critcal for me due to low contrast vision issues, I find the default magenta kind of dark.

I agree with many of these suggestions. The fact that it's stealing focus when a new IM comes in is quite aggravating. I'll be typing a reply to one person, when I get someone else whispering me and suddenly the last half of what i typed is in the wrong window.

Right clicking the minimap icon to bring up the options window would be very intuitive as well. As it is, I have to type /wim to access the options at all.

I'm also using Broker2Fubar to get WIM back on Fubar, but it's near useless since it doesn't notify me when i have incoming messages. I have to click on the icon to see what i have.

I don't know what the heck went wrong here, but this addon went from being the first installed to the worst one I have ever had the misfortune of coming accross. The simple, elegant, and intuitive interface and operation that WIM had before the 302 patch, has been shown the door, and replaced with a pendantic options arrangement, popup functionality that someone manages to be COUNTERintuitive, and an INFURIATING change in layout.

Tips to improve :
- reinstate popup on all messages, but do NOT steal focus
- reinstate option to set stacked windows
- intercept /w, r, and Shift-R with a WIM window, not a blinking I in the minimap button.
- reinstate rightclick functionality to minimap button

I really hope you understand that WIM is STILL in public beta. Also half of what you request is actually already implemented in the latest BETA of wim.

Please visit the actual web site for the addon as almost all of your question and complaints about WIM have/are being addressed or even fixed already. But god forbid people make an effort to research before they post complaints about something that's free...

Seems like nobody has patients anymore these days, quite sad.

One request would be to have the flashy tabs back as well rather then auto switching tabs. I'll be in the middle of typing a message and someone will message me and all the sudden i'm opening control panels and jumping. LOL. Great addon either way.

I have the exact same problem. I hope there is a fix soon. Otherwise the addon is great, awaiting some fresh updates :)

I wrote an extremely detailed proposal for some features that would be wonderful to include in WIM, and did lots of work in outlining how it could be coded up.
