Q: I found a LUA-Error/Bug, What shall I do?
A: Goto http://www.wowace.com/addons/vanas-kos/tickets/ and describe what you did to cause the problem (or when it happened) and post the lua-error-message. As we may have additional questions, please check back in/have a valid email at curse for ticket updates.

A: Make sure that you do not have "Show only my entries" checked. You and your guild members must also enable sharing of their lists with the guild.
A: You can either send them to me with a license disclaimer that allows the distribution/packaging with vanaskos (if you own the rights) or You can add your own sounds by modifying WoW/Interface/AddOns/VanasKoS/modules/Notifier.lua The list of sounds is at the top of that file. Just put your extra sound files somewhere inside the WoW directory. VanasKoS uses LibSharedMedia-3.0 so it also has access to any other addon's sounds."
A: Fine, Thanks! It doesn't right now.
Q: I see weird messages in my Chat Window on the Channel CrbZ????, What's up with that?

Q: How can I support the authors and development of this addon?

Q: I can code in lua and want to develop xyz?
A: Write me a PM with your idea and experience - I'll review the idea and if it's finished include it in vanaskos, or if you want to develop more add you as a co-author.
Q: How much do you make with this addon?
A: Near to nothing - My (Vanas) payment/hour for VanasKoS is less than 10cents, don't worry though - it's a hobby for the authors, so the revenue isn't a factor for development, but it also means that the real-life job is more important, so bear with us when answers/development take a little longer.
Q: Vana...Vana.. I seem to remember this name from Lineage2
A: You are right, I worked on a popular (and the first) lineage2 drop-database back then.

Currently not working? I came back to game for SL after over a year, was a great must have addon for me before.
Not loading with a ton of lua errors.
In reply to Codcat77:
Yup, not working anymore.
And one of the LUA errors occurs when we mouse over skulls indicating death locations on our main map. I've disabled the addon for the time being and will attempt to use Spy instead.
In reply to auspex_shu:
Check my answer below :)
In reply to Codcat77:
Wrong version. Try regular 9.0.1.1 version. Not the NOLIB one (which is chosen by default for some reason). 9.0.2 retail - working like a charm :P
up!
Thank you very much for the update. Even wins/loses on tooltip (which didn't work in 8.3) is working again !
Is there a way to clean the "last seen" list without reseting the addon ?
In reply to Forge_User_36565356
I think one way you can do that is to uncheck the store permanently option. Then logout, and back in. Then I think it should only remember players that are in one of your lists, but may have to wait a minute or two. After which you can re-enable if you want, and they'll still be gone. Otherwise I don't remember there being a "clear all" button, maybe individual items, but that wouldn't be fun if you're trying to remove it all.
In reply to xilcoy:
I tried to uncheck the option and it doesn't seem to remove players, but it's no big deal.
In reply to Forge_User_36565356:
Did you log out and back in after unchecking it? (or reloadUI if you have the console enabled) That setting only gets checked when the module is first enabled.
If you just leave it unchecked it will only remember players that are on a list (KoS, guild KoS hate, nice, or pvp log)
In reply to xilcoy:
Store permanently was already unchecked on my characters. I didn't touch it so I guess it was by default.
I tried this :
1. check "store permanently" then restart the game (because it was unchecked by default).
2. uncheck "store permanently" then restart the game and wait a few minutes.
3. restart the game with "store permanently" still unchecked (but the list was not empty)
In reply to Forge_User_36565356:
Ok could be wrong, but it sounds like it's possibly because those have pvp events associated with them. There are ways to delete those as well when viewing pvp log/stats (assuming it's still working). Or maybe the list culling code just doesn't work anymore.
In reply to xilcoy:
You are right, players in my "last seen" list have pvp events associated to them. I tried to delete some of them and they were also removed from the "last seen" list. Thank you !
I uploaded an alpha version yesterday that should address some of the basic issues. I didn't do a lot in the way of testing. Mostly just standing around watching the warning window, and adding some people to the list.
I haven't opened WoW (or logged into curseforge) in about a year. Sounds like things are falling apart with the latest patch, so I should probably buy some game time and hop in and see what I can do, or check if anybody has created any forks/patches on github. I'll try to get around to it soon.
In reply to xilcoy:
You can use trial character for testing
In reply to xilcoy:
Thank you very much, I hope you'll be able to fix it, this addon is a must-have for Wpvp !
In reply to xilcoy:
I have a version that I've been working on locally where I've fixed about half of the bugs. Once I have it fully done, I'll try to get it submitted as an update. If you'd like, I can show what I've got or put it on a separate branch in github.
In reply to AngerFork:
Sounds good. Vana gave me a heads up several hours ago he'd added you as a maintainer. I'm just finishing up downloading wow and installing development tools again on my gaming laptop. Welcome and appreciate the help!
Hi, is this addon abandonned ? With the Shadowlands prepatch update, many features don't work anymore such as "add player/guild to KoS/hatelist"
Is author alive?
