TexBrowser

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

TexBrowser is a texture browser for developers and UI modders. It's LoadOnDemand, so you'll need an addon like AddonLoader to load it properly. If you don't want to use one of those, you'll need to do something like:

/run LoadAddOn("TexBrowser")

/tex

What is the purpose of being able to select certain areas of a textures? Is there any way to only use that selected area for things like Sexymap?

I installed the Ace add on from http://www.wowace.com/addons/ace3/files/407-release-r1041/ and it fixed the problems for me.

mine does seem to work for cataclysm, but I cant find any new art to choose from. For example, I'd LOVE to find the rune that appears on the ground after detonating a wild mushroom so I can set that as a border around my mini-map with my Sexymap addon.

You have to do both not just the bottom one.

Those commands didn't work (the "/tex" command isn't recognized after loading). Addon Control Panel was able to explicitly load it, but the "/tex" command still did not work.

I just DL it today, no reason for it not to work really. It just accesses the game textures.

Umm it's referencing all the textures in the game be Blizzard. So it's easier to find borders etc for things like Sexy Map.

It would alleviate a HUGE AMOUNT of frustration if you were to describe where one could place custom textures so that they are Indexed by TexBrowser.

Thanks for this mod, I was just looking for a way to view in game textures!
Will this be able to display things like spell auras also? I had seen one in a screen shot that had a partial name of "spells\aurarune256.blp" and I was trying to find a way of seeing more.
Can't wait to try this at home 8^)

but you forgot to add embeds.xml so it relies on other addons to pull in Ace
