SpellReminder

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Features as follows:
* Automatic spell detection and duration tracking.
* Tertiary effect detection (frostbite, vulnerabilities, other talent effects, and more).
* Customisation of bars (size, colour, positions).
* EMPHASIS of expiring bars (moveable/hideable).
* Audio notification when spell is ending / has ended.
* Raid Announcing when spell has been cast / is ending / has ended.
* Customisable bar groups supporting filtering of buffs to specific groups (target/focus/custom/default).

Hi all, just wanted to say i am indeed re-writing in Ace3. Until then i have bumped the TOC (as its now working again).

I'm looking to implement item cooldowns in the next major release - but that will come shortly after the ace3 rewrite. Any more suggestions for improvements?

@OnTheHissay - had same problem and discovered it was my Quartz (mirror I believe) causing a conflict. Disbled it and works now like a charm and has for some time. I remember this since I thought the most recent 3.3.2 and 3.3.3 ganked SR addon, but it was Quartz. cheers, Matthew

Love this Add-On - I use it to track my Buffs and Procs for optimal cast dmg. One thing I'd like to modify and can't figure out (maybe you just can't) is in the bars it says my character name with the icon of the buff or trinket-proc to the left. I tried to change it to display the name of the buff rather than always my name, but when I try to modify it under timer bars/bar formatting/display text/ , it just immed goes back to default when mouseover finishes. It says you can change name, name, rank, target, apps....but to no avail. Anyone have an answer? Many thx - Matthew

Thanks for the update! appreciate it. I've tried classtimers...powerauras. But none of them are as thorough and customizable as spellreminder. Powerauras is either too in your face or too quiet...if your debuff isn't visible ont he mobs mars then it stops working...

The two bar setup for spellreminder, combined with the customizable sounds makes it the best for tracking important spells.

I have a quick, imperfect fix for the Spellreminder config problem. Change two lines in core.lua

At the beginning, add:
local SpellDewdrop = AceLibrary:HasInstance("Dewdrop-2.0") and AceLibrary("Dewdrop-2.0")

Then find the line
self:OpenMenu()

and replace with:
SpellDewdrop:Open(UIParent, "children", function() SpellDewdrop:FeedAceOptionsTable(self.options) end, "cursorX", true, "cursorY", true)

Use /spellreminder to open the config. This does not fix the minimap icon, so just close it.

The problem is somewhere in FubarPlugin2.0 and/or DewDrop2.0, but both of these are no longer supported.

As of 3.3, this worked for the first couple days for me, but recently it reset, and has become completely unconfigurable which makes it a big mess. Cannot open the spellreminder option at all.

Love the addon, been extremely useful to me, please fix for 3.3.

I love this addon but all I want it to do is give me a raid warning when I need to rebuff. Especially for my "Hot streak" mage talent where pyroblast is instant.

I don't want the added buff timer bars on the screen though and it won't let me delete them.

Can someone please tell me how to simply have the raid warning for these things? Thank you!

One thing that I would like to see is the ability to modify bar width, height,text, font and so on for each timer bar group. Instead of 1 setting for everything except bar scale.

If I make a bar group for my own buffs then I do not need to see my name on the bar for example

I got the last version but cant disable certain spells/cd´s. Is that intended? I have unmarked "show self" and "show others" on most of the casts but the addon doesnt care and shows them all.

But I want just shown a few because the rest is just too much spam on the screen.

Is there a possibility to remove spells or just setup it that they dont show anymore?

I downgraded to the previous version released on 4/15/09 and it works fine for me again. I was getting the same error listed below with the newest version.

I hope a new version is in the works, won't even load for me, this is a critical one for me as a Holy pally it tracked my sacred shield, beacon of light, and judgement speed buff.
