Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Note: I took a tiny break from WoW (a decade), but recently started playing SoD. Be aware that this addon may not quite work yet.
Usage
When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.
Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.
In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.
You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.
Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.
Plugins
Skada is easy to extend, and there were once many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality. However, there are unlikely to be any maintained ones currently.
There is a page with API information here.

Thanks, looks heaps better now.
Cant see the option to change the title bar color currently stuck on orange what happen title bar color change. Title color stays stuck on white too http://imgur.com/a/s8kTX
Love to see smite for disc priests count as healing. As of right now, skada correctly counts it for atonement healing but smite also places an absorb debuf on the boss which prevents 100% of smite's damage from even going out.
Thanks. Yeah, I set the border thickness to zero (the small inner border seems to be made by Skinner, which is how I liked the border), and the "bar font size" seemed to increase from 12 to 13 for some reason after the update, which was weird, but seems to be fixed.
@DarkLimpan
Is that tiny inner border made by another addon? If so, just disable Skada's own border in the window settings. Set border thickness to zero.
My settings were changed as well with the r642 update. How do I make it look like it used to, but with the latest version?

skada is not reporting any starfall damage on my balance druid
Hi, has the addon been updated to support the Demon Hunter icon yet or is my addon borked?
LAst update adding black barks on the top and left side and no way to remove em.
You can disable the border in the Skada window's configuration window.
I wish a fix for this as well!
The mouseover bar tooltip gets stuck for me all the time.
Yep same, went and downloaded the 1.4-35 release instead, and its back to the good old look, and a working tooltip.
Now I have to make sure my curse client doesnt update this..
Newest update makes my main Skada window lap over other tabs such my bags when I have them open; http://i.imgur.com/YPiuIfZ.png
Please revert it back so it doesn't go over the bags like that.
There is an option to change the frame's strata now.
Latest update changed the color, texture, and size of my primary skada window.
Agreed... it also seems to have added a border, which I can't find any way to disable. I've always loved skada, but the border clashes with my UI :(
The border, which should only affect new windows, can be turned off in the settings by either setting window border texture to "None", or settings border thickness to 0.
http://prnt.sc/c5tcuy what happened to my skada window after i updated? Also it bugs when open menu 3x Skada\BarDisplay.lua:1114: attempt to index local 'c' (a nil value)
Skada\BarDisplay.lua:1114: in function `member'
The error is fixed now. Not sure why your window changed; only new windows should be affected.
