This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

This is an easy to configure addon the get rid of that mess of buffs, that covers half of our precious screen space since the last patch 3.0.2.

Usage:
To hide a buff, just SHIFT-Rightclick it. SAF will remember which buffs you hid between sessions.
There is a profile management integrated into Blizzard's interface options panel.

If you want to see all buffs, use /saf toggle to show/hide the hidden buffs.
To remove buffs from the list of hidden buffs, use /saf menu

That would kind of clutter the consolidation box...

Have you thought about updating your addon for 3.3?

New option - Consolidate Buffs: Enabling this adds a buff consolidation box near the mini-map. Very short term buffs (e.g. Replenishment) and very long term buffs (e.g. Prayer of Fortitude) are filtered into the buff box. The icons are stacked here, but they can still be seen by moving the mouse cursor over the buff box. Long term buffs will move out of the box when they are about to expire. Buffs such as important procs (e.g. Art of War, Maelstrom Weapon), cooldowns (e.g. Bloodlust / Heroism, Combustion) or limited in range (e.g. totems and paladin auras) are always displayed.

Once 3.3 hits live, I will update SAF if I still see the need for it.

The basic idea of the inbuilt "Consolidate Buffs" in 3.3 is nice enough, but it's not class specific so it shows buffs that you don't care about.
For instance are Concentration Aura, Mana Totem and so on displayed for every class even though it's pointless for melee. And vice versa with melee only buffs like WF totem or Horn of Winter being displayed for casters.

I've got a look at the new 3.3 Buff Code. It seems to be vastly more complicated than the old one.
An update for SAF will take some time, I am afraid.

Will this filter debuffs on current target? I'm looking for a way to hide all debuffs on a mob, except those that I've put there.

Is this compatible with any buffbar mods, like ElkBuffbar? Or will it only work with the default buff frame? I ask because shift-rightclicking when using EBB just removes the buff, instead of hiding it.

i have the problem, that i can't hide buffs/debuffs while using buffalo and i can't hide them by clicking them in elkanos buffbar.
further i beg you to put in the feature to hide whole buffcathegories, like ALL debuffs or ALL buffs etc. it's very annoying having to click every debuff just in order to hide 'em all =/

Yeah, sorry. This does not work with anything but the default Blizzard buff icons, nor will it ever.
