Posted Aug 27, 20061.) As I already said, when I deleted the "Bongos_Map"-thing, my problems were gone. ;-)
2.) I couldn't figure out a certain event when my minimap changes its position.
3.) Hopefully the new version fixes this issue - gonna test it as soon as possible. :)

Posted Aug 27, 2006ya, i changed the config a bit and didn't change the slash commands to address it. i was planning on dropping the slash commands all-together, but people seem to like them. new version up, sorry for the mix-up.

Posted Aug 27, 2006The hide slash command doesn't work. Right clicking on the minimap does, though.
Here's the bug I got when I typed /smm hide zoom Interface\AddOns\simpleMinimap\simpleMinimap.lua:323: attempt to index field `hide' (a nil value)
It looks pretty good other than that, I'll give it a shot today, as with Logan1981, I'm tired of not having CleanMiniMap, and this looks like a more than suitable replacement.

Posted Aug 27, 2006Thanks for this addon. Have previously been using CleanMiniMap, but rather impatiently, can't be arsed waiting for the dev to reapply the move function. Glad to see Simple Minimap still has its move function, my minimap again sits in its correct position :)
I also like the right click for options menu, very handy, very easy to access. The scale, skin and visibilty sliders are a nice touch too.
Thanks again.

Posted Aug 26, 2006Okay, brought my minimap back into the game... it was "Bongos". :-p
Hmmm, to me it seems the minimap is changing its position randomely, not only when zoning or so. But I will take another closer look at this tonight, maybe I can find out the circumstances in a more detailed way.

Posted Aug 24, 2006I will support you with further infos on that asap. Unfortunately, since v1.12 my minimap doesn't show up at all (I think it is a problem with Bongos, and not your mod). When I have those problems solved, I will take a closer look at the problem mentioned before.
Cheers, Farook

Posted Aug 24, 2006tried to PM but the system seems to be down...
you're going to have to give me more information. the minimap does not move for me, i cannot see your screen, i have no idea what "open a menu" means. if i can't re-create the problem or at least get a good, logical understanding of it then i cannot fix it.
"opening a menu" means pressing ESC and bringing up the game menu?

Posted Aug 13, 2006the issue with Bibmod came up before. i've installed Biibmod myself and used it with SMM and had no problems. the trick is to not touch Bibmod's minimap mover. delete you WTF Bibmod files, and when you setup Bibmod again don't touch the minimap. see more comments on Bibmod further down the comment list...
i tried to make SMM "play nice" with other mods, but still take control when you want it to. if you don't touch anything with SMM then it doesn't change anything, so you can use other mods to modify the minimap. however, as soon as you use SMM to move the map it moves the ClearAllPoints and SetPoint functions to keep other mods from moving the frame(s). also, since B comes before S in the alphabet, it could be that Bibmod is getting to the minimap before SMM and that's what's causing your shifting.
i just realised that Bibmod maybe using another function, SetAllPoints, that SMM doesn't touch and could still make the minimap move. on the next version i'll move that function moved as well...
