RollTracker Lite

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

RollTracker Lite is an extremely small addon used for keeping track of /rolls, and especially useful for raid leaders when managing loot.

Currently accepting localizations for Latin American Spanish and Korean! File a ticket if you need help doing so.

There used to be a bug with the German client. If you're using it, please test out v0.4-beta and PM/comment if it works/doesn't work, thanks. :)

Features

Sort /rolls
Highlight rerolls, ties and non-standard ranges
Super lightweight (<10 kb memory) and unobtrusive

Usage & Slash Commands

RollTracker's frame will automatically pop up when a /roll is made. No configuration is necessary.

/rolltracker or /rt to manually display the tracker
/rolltracker clear to manually clear all rolls

RollTracker Lite was rewritten from scratch based on an old pre-WOTLK addon of the same name, originally by Coth of Gilneas and Morodan of Khadgar, and currently maintained by Eryne at http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/rolltracker2.

Love it, so useful, works nicely alongside my suicide king add-on :)

Every so often it still doesn't automatically pop up when ppl roll. is this still something that needs to be fixed? I'm using the US client.

Having said that: It's no big deal having it out all the time because it's very nice and minimal. It shows every name and sorts the rolls with a minimum of fuss, and clearing it (lol) is as easy as clicking a button. Keep up the good work, much appreciated :D

Thanks. :) Although I can't take credit for the addon's design, as this is essentially a rewrite. :P

And that's odd, I haven't had that happen before. Did you notice when does that happen, or how to reproduce it?

Committed some changes, could someone using a non-US client be so kind and test r17 alpha for me? If all goes well the tracker should be able to support any language now. :)

Ugh.. my comment didn't go in for some reason. Retyping..

1) I'm using the US client and this is working fine for me, no issues.
2) Would it be possible to have a Minimize option on the Rolltracker window?

Thanks for reporting. :) By the way, did you mean just closing the roll window? That would be the 'X' button, like usual programs. Or did you mean actually minimizing it to a small size onscreen or something like that?

Yes, being able to resize it and/ or squash it into a little strip of real estate would be great for those times we need to clear the screen but want to keep the saved rolls intact to look at after combat. :)

Yup, just drag the corner of the window to resize it. I'll work on making it possible to squash it just enough to show the title "RollTracker" then. :P

Hmm, might be useful. I'll probably put it in a separate addon to keep this one nice and small though. :) In the meantime I recall seeing one or two Lib-DataBroker based addons that do the same thing though, try them out and see if they fit your needs. :P

FYI I used this for the first time last nite. It did not automatically popup when people rolled. I was not in a raid. I was in a regular group, but it doesn't seem that should matter. I hope to test again tonite.

Oh, are you using the english/US client? I haven't localized the addon yet (not until I have requests to do so anyway :)) so it may not work. And yes, it should appear in both raids and parties when people type /roll.

If you *are* using english client, try this, type /rolltracker, and click the Roll button a few times to manually make yourself /roll to see what happens.

Didn't realize RollTracker has already been picked up by someone else since WOTLK, I have to blame Curse's previously crappy search for that. :P

Anyway I've renamed the project to RollTracker Lite to highlight its difference from RollTracker2 (which I'd like to think is pretty significant) - I've pretty much pruned most of the features I don't think were ever used much in RollTracker and rewrote all of the remaining code. 81 lines vs 396 lines, and <10 kilobytes when rolls are reset vs >20kb and growing for every single roll, how about that. :)
