RollTracker Lite

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

RollTracker Lite is an extremely small addon used for keeping track of /rolls, and especially useful for raid leaders when managing loot.

Currently accepting localizations for Latin American Spanish and Korean! File a ticket if you need help doing so.

There used to be a bug with the German client. If you're using it, please test out v0.4-beta and PM/comment if it works/doesn't work, thanks. :)

Features

Sort /rolls
Highlight rerolls, ties and non-standard ranges
Super lightweight (<10 kb memory) and unobtrusive

Usage & Slash Commands

RollTracker's frame will automatically pop up when a /roll is made. No configuration is necessary.

/rolltracker or /rt to manually display the tracker
/rolltracker clear to manually clear all rolls

Credits

RollTracker Lite was rewritten from scratch based on an old pre-WOTLK addon of the same name, originally by Coth of Gilneas and Morodan of Khadgar, and currently maintained by Eryne at http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/rolltracker2.

it seems that this addon still has trouble with the german client

im Samirâ and rolled between 1-100, rolled 91.

Ah! I recall there was something weird that needs to be done for German translations, but couldn't test it out as I have the English one. Will look up how to fix it.

I'm using german client. On login, I get this error:

Addon is great! Small request though. Could you PLZ add LDB display support for stuff like Titan Panel, ect? or at the least a minimap button you can right click on or someting to do a /roll? ty.

Also, the option to list the person's rank (if in your guild) after their name would be fantastic. My guild distributes loot based on rank (which is based on your attendence) and it is a pain in the butt to keep looking up who trumped who's roll due to rank.

Something like:
Player (Initiate) 99
Player (Veteran) 56

With our loot system, the 2nd roll would win. With someone outside of the guild, leaving the name blank would be just fine like:

Player 88
Player (Initiate) 99
Player (Veteran) 56

And again, a LBD display would just be icing on the cake =)

Oh crud, Curse didn't notify me about new comments again. :P And sure, I'll look into adding an LDB launcher.

Anyway, I'm currently planning to just leave this addon permanently as 'Lite' with no more new features (as my addon folders is getting slightly out of hand xP), and then chuck the rest of the requested features into a *Plus* version. Will keep this page updated. :)

Sadly, not in the immediately foreseeable future. :P Have been pretty busy with work lately, so only have time to hack on Lua code when I'm not working on other personal projects too, so it may be a while before I scrounge together enough stuff fit to be published. :)

3.2.0 release seems to be bugged to me. I get LUA errors everytime someone goes online or offline in my guild.

Hmm, that's bad. I'm not able to reproduce it at the moment, could you grab a copy of Bugsack and buggrabber, then copy and paste the captured error here?

Ack, I haven't noticed that there were new translations, much apologies! I'll push out a test version later this weekend. On a WoW hiatus at the moment so I won't be able to personally test new changes (or the PTR, too), so send me a pm if the alphas are broken, I don't want to tag files as beta unless I'm sure things work perfectly fine.

Excellent addon, just a quick question.
Would you be willing for me to update it and add an addition function to it?
I want to add a button to generate a raid roll based upon the number of people in the raid, and display the winner.

Doesn't oRA2 already do the randomly select a raid member part? Vaguely recall our RL doing that to hand out vendor trash to people. :P
