I was fishing pools in Crystalsong Forest, and noticed that the attempt counter for the Sea Turtle isn't incrementing. I've restarted the game, and equipped my pole, and still no counter.
I'm running r665-beta.
Can't reproduce; Tracking the Sea Turtle in Crystalsong Forest is working for me.
Have you read the FAQ entry regarding fishing from pools? Detecting this is generally tricky. You can try hovering over the pool (to have the game's tooltip show the name of the school you're fishing from) before looting the bobber. Otherwise attempts may not be recognized.
If it still doesn't work, and you've made sure the item is set to be tracked, please post the exact location (coordinates or screenshot) so I can investigate. I'd ask you to also include the debug log (type /rarity debug) for your fishing attempts that didn't count for the Sea Turtle.
No joy with mousing over the school. I've uploaded the screen shot. Co-ordinates are 42.61 55.79, in Crystalsong. I didn't see that the debug prints to a file, so I made sure it was in the scren-shot. If it does print to a file, let me know where to look, and I'll upload that as well.
That's more than enough, thanks! It confirms my suspicion: There are now multiple fishing skills after the profession rework and this one I haven't added, since all my tests showed only one specific spell to be used.
I'm just going to add all the IDs that wowhead lists, as I don't know under which circumstances what spellID is going to be used. That should fix your problem. Try r666 and see if it works :)
And we have a winner! It now counts my casts when I mouse over the school. Thanks very much
