Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.
Other Info
User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.
Debuff timers? Like Hypothermia or debuffs in general?
It's cooldowns and debuffs...Evocation cooldown, Frost Nova debuff, Scorch debuff, Hyopthermia, and timer based thing that affects a mage.

This is just a small update in preperation for tomorrow's patch.

Nothing super new in this release, having quite the busy day...classes and now I'm off to work. I'll get more in for tomorrow's release.

I justed wanted to take a minute to give a huge Kudos to Jim (Paene) for all the work he's done on Cryolysis 2. I don't get a lot of time to play, so when I log I'm almost always going directly into a raid. So, because of that, I hadn't installed Cryo 2 yet on my live account, until I had time to play with and make sure nothing I depend on was broken in the Beta. Well I finally got some time last night, and it looks Great! The resource usage is leaps and bounds above Cryo 1, and almost all of the original functionality works as before. The new menu is great (especially considering the short time he put it together) and I was able to completely configure it the way I wanted in a couple of minutes. I rely on timers quite a bit as well as a few of you have noted. This was also one of the reasons I held off for a bit. But I've found what I think is a decent temporary replacement in " DOTTimers". It doesn't have the audio alert when sheep breaks, but it has a nice, easy to see and configure visual timer bar that works for me, for now. Again, a huge thanks to Paene for all this work and a big congrats! on how well it's gone.
EDIT: The mod is actually called DoTimers. And with a little manual configuartion it will do what Cryo 1 sheep timers did automatically. So I would recommend this mod if you are using Cryo 2 and need the timers and sheep break warning.
And a big thanks to you my friend for helping me keep people informed and answering questions. Also a large thanks for past work you've done on Cryo1 and the current work being done to maintain it for the time being.
Also would like to thank everyone for their ideas and feedback. I'm glad that this project is turning out well and am looking forward to what the future holds.

P.S. The 2.3 compliant release should be up tonight sometime.
The "Class-check" on load doesn't appear to be 100% yet. The immediate and tyemporary fix is to disable Cryo 2 for all., then re-enable it only for your mage.
The class check only disables the addon for that character, it won't unload it from memory. A message should have appeared in your chat window telling you to type /console reloadui to remove any remaining graphical errors. Unfortunately, Blizzard doesn't provide us with the ability to unload an addon from memory once it's been loaded. The only thing we can do is uncheck it in the Addons listing on the character screen for you.
I'll try a few tricks to prevent things from loading, but my past attempts have failed so far.

Wow that new menu is great. Totally surprised me and is VERY easy to use.
Was worried about the keybindings until I though to look in the actual keybndings (go figure) and found them. Cryo1 had the bindings in its menu so it took me by surprise when the new one didn't have that. But it's fine the way it is so yay keybindings again.
Can't thank you enough Jim. Wonderful work my man.
Oh, any news as to when we'll have our portal/teleport party messages back? I've got some good ones that I wrote for Cryo1 if you'd like to use them.
Keep them the same format as the ones from Cryo1 if you can please; that way I can just switch my Speech LUA from Cryo1 over.
As of right now, my plan of attack is the following order:
Spell Timers and bug fixes -> Fun Messages and bug fixes -> localization.
After localization I'll start looking into brand new features for Cryo 2. I also have this Tuesday's patch to deal with :) I'm gonna have to remove all the code for detect magic and add some code for Ritual of Refreshment. I think I'll make it shift + right-click on the food/water buttons which keeps with the idea of right-clicking to conjure food/water.
I also want to re-do the main sphere a little at some point and make it so you can type in a spell or item that can be cast/used from the main sphere.
So much to do and never enough time! Good thing T-giving break is coming up :)
-Jim-
P.S. I'll look into keeping the file structure the same for the fun messages, but localization may make this impossible :-/ I might be able to minimize the amount of extreme editing you would have to do at least. I'll let you know for sure as that feature gets closer to release.
Alright deleting saved variables from cryo1-2 fixed all my problems, i think the saved file got screwed over from all your cryo 2 beta builds. But if anyone was having problems i had, that shoudl fix. Awsome work, keep it up!
There's kinda a silly thing about the trade functionality. You have to have the person targetted for it to work properly...so if someone opens trade with you and you don't have them targetted, it won't do anything. I'll see what I can do to resolve this in the future.

Downloaded Cryo 2, and so far love everything about it, except the cooldown timers dont seem to be showing up for me. I enabled them in the menu, but still nothing. Have to go back to the other Cryo for now so I can see when my sheep is about to break and resheep. And as Krystal mentioned, if there is no sound for sheeping/breaking sheep, would be great to have that as well.
I'm hoping to get spell timers started on in the next release...as of right now they haven't been added yet. Keep checking back!
-Jim-
Ok, so the spell timers arent in there, thought I was missing someting ;)
I will keep checking back for sure, as for now, Cryo 1 stays for a bit. The bit I played around with Cryo 2 is great though!
Would it be possible to add sound when polymorth is about to break (for pve) like cryolysis 1, thanks. Awsome updates today, its like the old cryo but better now, good job.
edit 2-
I noticed that if you detach the buttons from the sphere and exit the game, the buttons arent clickable nor you can see their tooltips until you reattach to the sphere, which makes it very annoying to do that everytime i login.
Yeah, when someone opens a trade screen with me, i move my mouse over water icon and press middle mouse, nothing happens, used to work with old cryo. Ill try deleting the saved variable, might fix all these problems.
The trade functionality is already in place...is it not working for you?

UPDATED!
The X and Y offsets didn't make it into this release...they'll be in the next one. I've run out of time for the day and wated to get the new menu and mana gem button out for public testing. Here's the changes:
-Added broom mounts to the mount list
-Silly Horde players, you can't teleport/portal to Ironforge!
-Added the ability to make each menu grow left instead of right
-Fixed buff menu not updating after talenting into a spell it could potentially have
-Fixed up the class check a bit
-New configuration menu!
-Re-added original mana gem functionality with a twist!
-Re-organized the menu a bit
-Fixed a bug preventing mana gems from being conjured after leaving combat.
-Updated and fixed several tooltips
-Key bindings (will add more upon request)
Enjoy!
-Jim-
UPDATED: What to expect in the next release:
-The option to make the menu button menus grow left instead of right (and maybe up/down as well)
-X and Y offsets for the menu button menus
-Key Bindings
-Original mana gem button functionality. This one should work in combat. The way it is coded atm, you can left click to use your highest conjured mana gem, middle-click to open the mana gem menu, and right-click to conjure your highest available mana gem. The right-click to conjure will only work outside of combat, due to UI restrictions placed on mod writers by Blizzard.
-Better scaling (maybe)
-New menu with an actual GUI, no more drop-down menu.
Sounds Awesome.
Good idea keeping the Gem menu on a middle click, hopefully the in combat use will work as well for those mouse clickers. I'm just thankful keybindings are back.
Would it be possible to have the portal menu display runes left? Doesn't have to be on the button but in the tooltip would be nice.
Yay for button menu customization and I'm very interested to see your GUI menu for the addon seeing as you said that was a major resource hog in the last incarnation of Cryo (I think that's what you said lol).
Did you add brooms to the mount list? Edit: Woot for Brooms!
And to those who are complaining, shame on you. Not only is this a beta in testing but Jim has already taken this wonderful mod to the next level of use for us Mages. Plus he updates like no other. I've waited WEEKS for mod updates before only to have them update something like "better error synthesis with the Blizzard internal bandwidth." Jim, great job man. Very stoked to see what else you have in store for us!
Edit: Thanks for the Runes on the spell portal tooltip. With the old Cryo that's how I checked my rune status.
Edit 2: Keybindings! Yay! After this I think Cryo 2 will become my permanent use.
The new menu is created using one of the wowace libraries. Like any large graphical feature, it has increased memory usage. Before the new menu, Cryo2 used about 220kb or memory...with the new menu it's at about 400kb. This still isn't bad in comparison to the amount of memory Cryo1 used.
Brooms were added to the mount list in the last release. :)
Runes are already displayed in the main sphere tooltip, but I can add them to the teleport/portal buttons.
