Talented adds spec templates to the Talent UI.

Talented is getting a large update for wow 4. It will no longer replace the default UI but add a new Tab to it, with most of the previous functionality present.

There is an alpha release available on wowace. It's still missing some major parts, but it should give you an idea of the new interface.

Talented_Loader is no longer needed (and in fact will create problems if left installed, so remove it at once).

Update feature List

Create and view templates for all classes and all pet types.
Set a specific template as a target, and see it when you're spending your next talent point on level up.
Apply complete templates with a single click, after a talent wipe.
Hunters can view the spec of their pet and apply templates to them.
Share your current build with other, or any template you've made.
Import templates directly from the Blizzard Talent calculator, wowhead or wowdb.
Export templates as URL to wowhead, wowdb or the Blizzard Talent calculator.
Allow pet templates to be imported from and export to wowhead pet calculator.
Inspection of other characters will also inspect their alternate spec, if they have one.
A macro command /talented apply <template> allows to automatically apply a template based on its name.

v2.0b is compatible with the new wowhead URLs.

Sadly, just removing the part after the ':' was not enough. (replacing the '#' by a '=' is also needed).

I have to agree. I'd like the option to switch specs be right there at an easy click of a button. And also bring back a button to easily view hunter pet specs as well.

Oh, I noticed that the glyph window only shows the primary spec glyphs, and not the secondary.

Having problems with importing templates. It tells me that the URL I just copied from wowhead isn't a valid URL. Even if I copy the URL Talented comes up with when I export a template. Said URL works fine at wowhead, but it won't import back in to Talented.

You can always use the macro "/usetalent {1|2}". I'm reluctant to add a button to Talented to switch to a spec that is not currently shown.

I'd rather that the option for switching between specs were more obvious and convenient, such as a button on the top with all the menus. Going to the template menu, selecting the other spec, and clicking on the switch button on the bottom of the frame seems like it's more steps than is needed.

Apart from that, I'm very happy Talented is keeping up with the times!

I'd also really like one-click spec switching. Mages have a degenerate spec where we swap just to cast a buff, then swap back... Anything that makes this less tedious is a big help.

It's not possible. You have to switch to the other spec, apply a template, and switch back. This is an API limitation that I can't overcome.

Using Talented v2.0-release, I receive an error from talented in chatfram while attempting to import a wowhead talent URL:

wowhead added a glyph calculator, which changed the format of their URL slightly, but as a result, Talented will not accept it. I'm fixing it, but in the meantime, simply removing the ':' and everything after it (or designing a spec without adding glyphs) will make the template importable.

yeah, in addition to Blizzard changing the talents themselves, WoWHead changed their talent calculator web page "approach", in the middle of Blizzard maintenance on 4/14 (drove me mildly nuts trying to recover my bookmarks for the talents i built a week ago).

all the calculators appear to load on the same physical web page now, with a syntax like:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#0ZxGGcfrdceRIczVo0E0z

Talented is released with a really liberal open license, that only asks for something: do not act as if you wrote the thing.

This guy did just that. Do not support this. I'm not going to help you

Don't worry, as he can now easily make my work his own.

This is really saddening.
