nQuestLog
Questing minion
---
August 20, 2009: I have started the tear-down/rebuild of this addon and will keep this description updated as I go. My path will be:
1) DONE - Thanks Fyrye. Update the libraries so we can get it working without yelling at you, albeit with a bit of tweaking
2) Update the code to work with the new questlog api
3) Recode and reduction of external library dependancy
happy
Good to hear! GL
got a line on the duplicate objective progress messages (ie why nQL isnt squashing the blizz messages)
Good stuff :)
Thank you so much.
You are a star.

I requested to take over this project a few days ago, and it looks like the request was accepted :) Give me some time to figure out how exactly this SVN stuff works (don't completely understand it yet) and I'll try to keep this project alive ;)
A fix to the default Quest Tracker not being toggleable (yes there also seems to be a bug with Waterfall lib)
again this is in the nquestlog/modules/blizzardframes/blizzardframes.lua file from previous..
scroll down to the bottom (if you have applied the previous fix or have r236 from wowace then the last function will be called WatchFrame_Update and consist of a simple "if....end" statement.
Change it to the following:
if ( self.db.profile.hideTracker ) then
WatchFrame_Collapse(WatchFrame)
else
WatchFrame_Expand(WatchFrame)
end
Save the file and that's that niggle sorted.
The above code will toggle the display of the default blizzard tracking frame.
Please note: this frame is also used to track achievements on screen and at present there doesn't seem to be a simple way to seperate quests from achievements.
(figured i'll duppli-post here aswell as curse, I guess its better to keep maximum coverage on both rather than assume everyone reads curse)
for LDB support - an interim option would be to use Fubar2Broker addon
The only bug now that i'm aware of is nQLs inability to filter blizzard-default objective-update messages - this is handled by the notification module but is quite possibly manifesting itself in a few libs also. A temporary solution is to turn off nQLs objective update messages if the duplicates are annoying you.
Added Option to Hide Minion and DetailsFrame while in combat;
SVN located at: svn://svn.wowace.com/wow/n-quest-log/fyrye/trunk
Features:
Detects CombatEntry and CombatLeave
Hides Minion and DetailsFrame if it is open and you enter combat
Shows Minion if it was open when you entered combat, and leave combat
Adds option to Waterfall to Hide in Combat (toggled)
Adds enUS Localization for Hide in Combat option (Not sure how to add this for other languages)
Issue/Future Enhancement:
Will not Show the DetailsFrame if it was open due to the questID being deleted when Hide() is called.
Working on adding a combatToggler for the details frame
I cloned the Repository because im using TortoiseSVN, but a bit unsure of how to do updating etc, like the libs directory, so instead of potentially screwing things up, I just cloned it.
My first post on WoWAce, so any help/tips on using TortoiseSVN are appreciated.
Credit if the feature is added would be nice.
