MrCurrency

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

MrCurrency is a simple Data Broker plugin for displays like Fortress, TitanPanel, and so on. It displays the amount of money you have, as well as any special currency that is trackable in the currency window. Additional features like tracking all the currency available to all your characters on a server are currently being worked on.

I was wondering how I can delete names from toons which have been deleted from coming up on the list for currency

I would also like to turn gold off, but then also be able to have the icons to the left of the value rather than the right

You already can, mark the currencies you do not wish to list as "Unused" in the currency tab on all characters. At least you can according to the tickets/comments on wowace for this addon.

Would it be possible to disable viewing currency from some characters, even though I leave MrCurrency enabled on them?

For example, it can be useful for me to have MrCurrency enabled on my bankers, but I don't care how much JP, honor, etc. they have and don't want to see it listed.

Also, setting currency to inactive in the Blizzard window doesn't seem to remove it from MrCurrency's list?

Really great addon!

I'd like to vote for an option to change the table in the tooltip, i.e. switching columns and rows so that you have your chars on top and the currencies on the left. This would make it easier (at least for me and a few others) to "read" the table.

That would be great! :)

PS: I can confirm the lua errors posted by Reeb.

Yeah, they changed the API and made it very hard to get at the currencies themselves. I had an alpha build available with the fix for awhile, but it has taken me more time than I'd like to get back and do a proper fix.

You probably already know about this issue since the patch Kolenka but just on the off chance you didnt thought id post it. Guessing its because they have tweeked the archaeology stuff but my coding skills are none existent so cant offer any help :(

That would be interesting, but it could only update when you look at the bank. So you get a snapshot rather than a live feed. In an active guild, this display would be an estimate at best. Knowing this, would this be useful?

I'd think it would be it's own broker display like artifacts are, rather than rolled into the core currency display. That way, it simply becomes a view of the last known guild info.

An option to additionally display your guild(s) gold would be sweet. Especially if you have a bank alt. Although this might be a lot of work (choose which character's guilds to show or not and so on). Just an idea.

Not yet. I've been sidetracked getting some stuff done on MrTrader with my spare time this month. I hope to get a new beta out with some of the core features I need to get out there. That includes pruning characters, toggling currencies in a more consistent manner and so on.

Hmm, I can understand that.
How about just the option of a user-defined warning limit?
Also useful when farming JP for the next item. ;)

One more vote for a 4k limit warning.
Preferably with an option for the amount wanted for warning - wouldn't mind the warning at 3.7 so that I'm warned before I start an instance. :P

Also:
May I suggest a color coding for the current active char in the tooltip?

Part of the problem with a 4k limit warning is that in 4.0.1, there isn't a clear way to get at the limit through the API. It'd just be a DB sitting in the addon that'd have to be updated with every maintainence or other events that change the cap.

When Cata goes live, there's rumblings that the cap will go up, and I try to avoid features that require me to maintain a DB of any kind that ships with the addon itself. Especially if that DB cannot be updated on the fly.

The upside is that this should be possible in 4.0.3.

Feel free to open tickets on this (links to do so are in the addon description) so I can track them as I juggle time between this and MrTrader.

is there a option to show only 1 button and hover over to see all info dont want to fill the bar like it is now
