Posted Jun 27, 2023KillTrack - can be used as a replacement.
The information shows in the tooltip when you hover over the mob.
Also know this. Some mobs have multiple NPCID, so this addon will show only the count for the ID that you have hovered over.
check out this item it is dropped by 8 different versions of the "Primal Proto-Drake"
https://www.wowhead.com/item=202081/dragon-isles-supply-bag
I would prefer to kill the one that has the 3% drop chance as often as I can, and just kill others when I can't find that one. I added the NPC id for the 3% Drake to SilverDragon, so it puts a diamond on that mob, but it only give me a pointer to it the first time. It does help me to check them when I hover over them. Also it switches around targetting any that are close by.
To get the MOB NPCID I used "IDTIP Community Fork" not the regular one. It was not working for me.

Posted Nov 19, 2022Another ugly fix to hopefully keep this one alive.
MobKillCount.lua line 24
Replace
GameTooltip:HookScript('OnTooltipSetUnit', function(self) addon:OnGameTooltipSetUnit(self) end)with
TooltipDataProcessor.AddTooltipPostCall(Enum.TooltipDataType.Unit, function(tooltip, tooltipData) addon:OnGameTooltipSetUnit(tooltip) end)Fix borrowed from 'NPC Time' update
Seems to work so far

Thank you so much. Been trying to fix this myself but had no luck finding the correct syntax.

For some reason, when edition the lua file with the new code, the counter still doesn't increase when I kill a mob.

Posted Dec 15, 2018It's ugly fix, but if you modify function addon:OnCombatEvent (line 54 of MobKillCount.lua) by adding a line just before if destGuid then like:
It would work. At least worked for me in 8.1 ;)

Posted Aug 25, 2018The addon is so tiny. I looked through the code and it shouldn't be hard for someone that knows what they're doing to find the problem at hand? I honestly have no idea but I assume something has changed with a value.

Posted Jul 17, 2016I like it, very simple. Only thing that would be nice is some command that opens a window that shows all your kills with possibility of filtering.
