Misspelled - Chat Spellchecker
Misspelled is a chat spell-checker addon. Misspelled watches the chat messages you type, highlighting any misspellings and offering suggestions for any misspelled words it finds.
I've included in the US & UK English dictionaries some Warcraft specific proper nouns, including the zone names, and all dungeon and raid boss names. Your friends and guild members are also automatically added, and shouldn't get flagged as misspelled words..Misspelled utilizes the HunSpell style, affix (prefix/suffix) compressed dictionaries. The same ones used in Chrome, Firefox, and OpenOffice. Misspelled provides suggestions based on words that phonetically sound like the misspelled word, along with providing suggestions based on common mistakes of spelling. While Misspelled can detect nearly the same number of individually correctly spelled words as OpenOffice, it's suggestion engine, is "somewhat" less complicated, than the HunSpell implementation.
Misspelled includes dictionaries for US-English, UK-English, French, German, Italian, Russian (experimental), and Spanish. The appropriate dictionary, for your game client locale, will auto-load, or you can manually choose what dictionary to use from Misspelled's Interface/Addons options page.
I'm attempting to localize the menus and configuration page. You can help by visiting: http://www.wowace.com/addons/misspelled/localization
Misspelled works with WIM (Wow Instant Messenger), and is compatible with: Prat, Skinner, and Chatter.
Usage note: Spell Checking is performed as you complete each word you've typed. The last word in the chat box, isn't spell checked until you type some form of word terminator, either a period, space, or some other word separating punctuation. Spell checking is very fast; but isn't performed needlessly, while a word is being typed.
Misspelled is compatible with Wow, Wow Classic/Wrath/Cata If you are having problems with Misspelled, please try updating or disabling all other chat addons you may be running.

It looks like an issue unrelated to Misspelled. Atlasloot encountered an error during initilization, while trying to call the Ace library distributed with Broker. I would try disabling all adons except Misspelled to see if the error goes away. If it does, then it's likley some interaction between conflicting addons.
And again there's an update! :)
Playing on English servers as a Dutch guy, I really love this add-on!
Hellooooo :)
First: Thank you for the great work. I'm a non-native speaker and this add-on saved me many, many times.
Second: Are you still updating it? Or is the old version still compatible with 6.2? I would hate to see this add on die. It is SO important.
Misspelled shoudl work under 6.2, although I haven't had a chance to test it. If someone can confirm it's working, I'll bump the TOC version.
Thanks
I can confirm that Misspelled works on the latest WoW build (as of 7/3/2015) as intended. It corrects my typos and spelling errors. =) So far, no UI errors either. Even /target works for me, which didn't work a few patches back for some reason.
Thanks! Update published.
A looooong time ago there used to be an addon that did autocorrect. I know it wasn't this one but I was wondering if something similar could be implemented. My shitty typing has me sending messages with things like realyl and gunan all the time.

Try disabling all other addons, except Misspelled. See if that corrects the issue. If Misspelled then works, next try and enable addons until you find the one causing the crash. It's possible the saved settings file, in your WFT folder, for another existing addon could be the cause.
If you have any additional logging info, I'll be happy to take a look and see what I can make of it.
Hi there again i disabled all addons apart from misspelled and i wass able to login so i enabled all up to date addons and it crashed so just trying to figure out what addon it is if i do i will let you know thanks for the help

The addon file Misspelled.lua has a variable, near the start, that stores the highlight color used.
You can change the value to whatever you like. Many other colors are used to note different game objects in chat. I choose a color that wasn't being used for anything else.
Awesome addon. Will there be an update for new patch?
Update complete. Tested and working with patch 6.0.2
Thank you SO MUCH for keeping this updated! This is up there as one of my favorite addons ever made next to DBM, Recount ect. Very appreciated!
Love this Addon, it saves me from embarrisment!

This would be awesome if it would scan guild chat for misspelled words and type the correctly spelled word with an astrix next to it, correcting someone =]
An awesome, awesome addon. Thank you!
Just wanted to say thank you so very much for this addon. For someone who is self consious about spelling, this addon is fantastic. Thanks!
