LootDB

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

LootDB adds loot information to the standard item tooltips. Therefor it extends the tooltips by a few lines, showing in which instance and by which boss an item drops. It also includes the droprate, items gained for honor, arena points, badges of justice, spirit shards, badges of heroism and badges of valor. LootDB is currently available in english and german. The library is prepared for further translations, so please feel free to contribute. Sometimes, it's getting hard to keep the database up-to-date, so some mistakes can and will appear ;) If you found wrong item information, then please use the ticket system CurseForge. Please add the item id to your ticket.

Are there any possible way that you could have time to update this addon for Cata? Alternatively, are there an similar addon that does the same that's been updated?

Just a little mistake reporting.
While creating a french locale for myself, I discovered that "Kaz'rogal" was entered as "Kar'rogal".
I'll submit the french locale when I'm finished (but I've already changed Kar to Kaz in the locale"

I installed this using the Curse Client and it informed me there was an updated version available. I updated it and now it shows that the installed version is 3.1.1.r57 and is listed as Beta instead of release in the client. From this main download page I don't see any information about r57 Beta version, but like I said, the Curse Client will offer the update. The .toc does show r57 and also there is a changelog showing changes made for r57. The author of the r57 beta is Filiassin, same as the version listed on this page. The download from wowinterface is not from this same author. I'm using the r57 beta version and everything is working great. Hope this information helps!

r57 is now listed as Alpha version. If The Curse Client doesn't offer the update to Alpha r57, you can force it to upgrade to the Alpha version r57 by doing the following:
In the Curse Client, click on World of Warcraft on the left and it will show the addons you have installed. Find LootDB in the list and right click on it. Click Preferred Release type, then choose Alpha. LootDB will then show that it can be updated. Click update and it will install the new version.

I got the update from WowInterface... works fine. Any chance of uploading the update to Curse? It's so much easier to keep my mods updated with just a couple mouse clicks through the Client, then having to constantly check up on the mod for updates manually, download the mod again, reinstall it, etc. It's true that the task is fairly simple, but it can be quite time consuming for someone like myself who runs over 100 mods at any given time. If I had to do that with every mod it simply wouldn't be worth my time.

It would be nice if you can add a source info in the tier items and their corresponding tokens.
example:
[Valorous Frostfire Shoulderpads]
Source: Vendor - Tier 8 (heroic) token:[Mantle of the Lost Vanquisher]
Boss: Loatheb (Naxxramas-25)

for the tokens whould be VERY usefull to have info about which set is for - heroic or normal - ie:
[Mantle of the Lost Vanquisher]
Tier 7 (heroic) shoulders.

Also a "shorter tooltips" option would be usefull:

Source: Ulduar
Boss: Razorscale
Difficulty: Heroic
Droprate: Low(15%-24%)

-or in short-
Source: Razorscale (Ulduar-25)(15%-24%)

The idea for the short tooltip sounds really good. I'll implement it in the near future.

Same for the tier tokens, but I'm still looking for the ideal solution.

I'm currently updating the database, for example, the Argent Tournament, Arena Season 5 and 6, Wintergrasp and some random drops from Ulduar are still missing. When it's done, I'll update the libraries to the most current versions.
