Inquisition is a Holy Power consuming spell you need to keep up (like slice and dice): http://www.wowhead.com/spell=84963
At the moment Inline Aura is handling it like any other Holy Power ability (show HoPo count and glow at 3/3), however it's most relevant to show the uptime of the buff (glow/countdown) here instead when it's up.
This is kinda weird because it should already display it with the current defaults.
Tested again. Not working as needed.
It needs to show a glow (preferably green border) when you have the buff running, instead of being handled like a holy power spell that glows at 3/3 HoPo.
Could you please try to edit the settings so Inquisition is a self buff (instead of special), with colored border and "HOLY_POWER" as an alias ?
(Inc. wall of text)
I did and I see the handling now.
Unfortunately I don't think the way it's working at the moment is very useful in practice. Between the constant position shifting of the numbers from one number at the bottom center to one on the bottom left and one on the bottom right, to the fact that when there's only one number in the center it's ambiguous (without paying extra attention) which counter you're looking at at the moment (a small 1, 2 or 3 could mean the buff is running out, or there's no buff and you have that amount of holy power) it's just being more disorienting/distracting than helpful.
I found it better to leave the "HOLY_POWER" handling out completely and just let it behave like a regular buff with an uptime duration, since it's just a slice an dice buff with linear scaling to the amount of Holy Power you give it, there's no major harm in using it at any moment when it's available (besides the somewhat small loss of an extra GCD over time).
I know this is not the best solution, but I don't really see a better one. You could potentially make the counter for Holy Power and for Durations fixed so they don't move around back to the center when one of them drops off, but that would be inconsistent with how the counters are placed for all the other abilities unless you fixate those as well away from the center, but that feels like too much changing around for no real gain (Inquisition can work just fine without the Holy Power counter).
Finally a major issue I have with Holy Power handling in general is the "glowing animation" at 3/3 Holy Power, I always turn that off on all abilities as it tends to get too spammy (like disco lights). It's also confusing because it reuses the glow animation which Hand of Light (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=76672) does, but it doesn't have the same inherent meaning (if I see glowing, I know I will not use my Holy Power if I press it normally, but with Inline Aura adding that glow, I don't know what's going to happen to my Holy Power).
I know this is adjustable for most abilities, but I would very highly suggest that the default has animated glow for 3/3 Holy Power disabled on all abilities and/or add an option to tick/untick "glow on 3/3 Holy Power".
I'm considering changing the way spells with multiple aliases are handled, by letting the user select a rule between "first found", "longest duration", "highest count" and "merge". The spell itself is always checked first. So if you have a self buff with "HOLY_POWER" as an alias and the rule "first found", it will either show a colored border with the countdown if the buff is active, or the number of holy powers glowing at 3.
Honestly, I preferred the old way it was handling it - i.e. it would glow just like with Hand of Glory. Is there anyway to get that back through custom settings?
