HandyNotes
Handy Notes for your maps. This addon is intended to be a small and simple framework for showing notes on your map.
Use /handynotes to access options.
You can add notes to the maps in 3 ways:
- Alt-RightClick on the world map to add a note.
- Use "/hnnew" without the quotes to add a note at your current location.
- Use "/hnnew x,y" without the quotes to add a note at location x,y on your current zone's map.

Posted Jul 20, 2015This hasn't been updated for 6.2 which makes me sad. Yeah it still works, but still is not up to date after 6.2 has been up for over a month. Here's to hoping it gets updated soon perhaps!! Thanks for the awesome add-on

Posted Jul 22, 2015I was wanting the same thing, so try this as a macro and bind it to a key:
It works pretty nice, especially when you disable the icons and then see a rare that was hiding under it :)
Important: You MUST have HandyNotes enabled in interface options for this to work!

Posted Jul 3, 2015I continue to wish for a hotkey to quickly turn off handy notes so I can see an uncluttered map without having to go through 3 menu selections to disable it.
This seems like something that should be pretty basic to an addon like this.

Perhaps you could collaborate with Sexymap and make this work with their HUD? It would be so nice to see it on the HUD instead of watching Minimap and/or map.
