HandyNotes: WorldMapButton
This AddOn adds a Button to the Worldmap which allows you to toggle Handynotes.
So this Button allows you to Show or Hide all the Icons created by Handynotes very fast to keep your Worldmap clear if you need it!
This Addon was created to work with the "Default" Woldmap and the Original UI but i've also tested the following AddOns for now (2020.09.15):
- ElvUI
- Mapster
- Leatrix Maps
- World Map Tracking Enhanced
It also might (no guarantee!!!) work with other Addons that does not significantly change the Worldmap itself.
If there is an AddOn that makes trouble, please report a Ticket here.
Hello fuba82,
I'm writing to you here as well, I saw your post on the CovenantMissionHelper addon, linking to your GitHub project, and I was wondering if you're maintaining the addon or at least, semi-maintaining it, would you be able to upload it on Curse as well, since you also have other projects here, please? <3
Thanks for your time and effort ^_^
In reply to DeVeteran: Hi there, no i do not Maintain the AddOn "officially" because i have no contact to the Author.
It's just a small Fix to work with TWW without errors and it's definitely not a "perfect" fix ^^
In reply to fuba82: Thanks for the swift answer ^_^ sad that the author didn't put someone else as co-writer / or give it to someone else before leaving :( it is what it is... sorry to have bothered you and I do hope you enjoy War Within <3
Also thanks for this addon as well, love it when I need to quickly look at my map but without the millions of notes on it <3 you rock!
Hi, I really love this addon, it makes HN even better with the quick options. I was wondering if there could be an implementation I thought of. Would it be possible to have the left click do the turning on and off, but the right click, or even with a modifier either take you into the HN options or give you a dropdown right from the world map to toggle on/off certain HN modules?
In reply to A0Dfan:
Sure, i will add "Right-Click: Open HandyNotes Options" with next update and will also check if it makes sense to add a Dropdown Menu to Toggle plugins.
Any ETA to updated toc one? for DF
In reply to Lloska:
it's updated but just for Retail right now...
Because Curseforge can not handle multiple game version TOC-Files properly :(
This will bug your Show/Hide Toggle button for HandyNotes NPCs addon
In reply to segoitch:
Hm?
Don't understand what you saying...
What (This?!) is bug my Show/Hide Button?

Thank you so much! I was looking for just such an addon! I am happy!
new pin button gets in the way of this addon's button
In reply to kingreboot:
yeah i know :/
i've moved the button back to the border again :D
And for Leatrix_Maps WITHOUT Border the button is moved to the TOP-LEFT of the WorldMapFrame itself!
Hopefully everything works now ^^
If the Time allows me, i'll try to make a Config Section for more Settings later!
With the latest update (80300.03-Release) the WorldMapButton is stretched to 100% width, at least for me. 🤷
In reply to Ribbler:
Same for me. This update is bugged.
In reply to Ribbler:
Same for me. This update is bugged.
In reply to Ribbler and Soromeister:
Tested with just Handynotes + Plugins and HandyNotes: WorldMapButton enabled?
Please a Screenshot from Bug and a List off your Addons!
Becasue there is no error on ElvUI and also not on Original Interface!
I Just test on Original and ElvUI, everything else maybe not work and dont have priority for me.
In reply to fuba82:
Sorry for just posting the error an not verifying what causes it.
As you mentioned there is no error, but I checked my Addon one by one and it seems AtlasLoot v8.12.00 is affecting the button in some way.
In reply to fuba82:
80300.04-Release fixed it for me.
Thank you for your great Work! 👍
In reply to fuba82:
I have downgraded the addon to the previous version about 2 days ago.
Today, I have re-updated it, together with the other addons that I had. This is the result:
The button has moved to the inside of the map instead of it being in the upper right corner. Is this by design? I would have preferred it in the upper right corner of the map dialog, not the map content (like it was before, where the Atlas icon is now).
In reply to Soromeister:
Yes it is inteded the icon moved to inside of the map for now.
If i got more time i will add an Option Panel and some Settings but sadly i can not promise this will happen before Shadowlands release :/
