OK, I have looked at all the notes that I can, and have tried to use googleAI to look for any discussion of how this Addon works, and I'm stumped with forever over here. I ask a guard for a location. I get a flag on the map. I assume I am supposed to alt-right click on this location, but it just pulls up the standard HN interface for one of the normal markers. so I try just right clicking on the guard location flag, and it takes me out to the next map level, the way it normally does when you right click on a map. I'm utterly stumped because there are zero directions on how to use this and nothing is working. Nada. And i turned off any other HN addons other than this one and the core HN itself. Tom-Tom is installed. Help? I promise I'm not dumb, I'm only asking after a good hour of beating my head against a well.

@eboethrasher. I'll admit the description is a bit barebones. You shouldn't need to do anything -- once the guard-produced flag on the map goes away, a handynotes icon should be left behind in its place. You can then right-click on that to change the icon used if it picked the wrong one.

If you're finding this to not happen, let me know which guard you're talking to and what you've tried asking for directions to. It's occasionally surprisingly fiddly getting it to notice some of them.

@Kemayo I was trying to use my level 3 bank priest, and I was asking the stormwind city guard to the right of the stormwind bank, i asked him about the auction house, gryphon master, deeprun tram, inn, guild master, transmog, etc. The guard on the other side is not doing it either.

Full list of addons: Auctionator, Prat , All The Things, Rare Scanner, Broker: Everything, Pawn, Baganator, Syndicator, Mailwright, Handy Notes, DungeonMaster, Titan Panel, AltArmy, ForeverMove, Hunter's Handbook, TomTom, What's Training and Wowhead Looter. I disabled all of them and asked every Stormwind Guard I could find, including the ones in front of the gates, and every roving Patroller too, on both my level 3 priest and a level 7 warlock. I made sure to at least ask about the Bank, AH, and Gryphon master. Not a single guard caused anything to do anything more than have the typical temporary flag. Just checked on my level 18 hunter, the few guards I checked around the Trade District, both standard and patrollers, didn't work at all.

Ran my level 7 pally around Ironforge - same result, hit up all the guards by the bank, then all the guards by the forge, in the mystic quarter, and at that point I gave up on the experiment as it clearly was not paying dividends.

All I can say is that it is not working as intended. I'm not seeing LUA errors but I also don't have bugsack installed.

@Kemayo Actually, never mind, I see a problem that'd specifically happen in Forever. v28 is going up now, and will probably fix things for you.

Hello. Are you planning to update this for Midnight? It's such a simple addon but it makes a big difference.

The alpha is updated for a while, but I forgot to do an actual release. I’ll take care of that later tonight.

Cannot remove a landmark (I mean - after asking a guard for some place), even if "HandyNotes" and "HandyNotes_Directions" are the only enabled addons.

Getting this error:

Hey, i just installed this addon and it is not working. I have Handynotes, Dungeons and just to make sure, i installed BFA treasures as well, and they all work except this. I tried resizing, hoping that they were too small or adjusting alpha but nothing help. I would love some help if possible. Thank you. And also if you need any logs/reports, i can provide, if you tell me how to do it. Thank you in advance for your help
