Data extract for GatherMate2

How to install the data:

1.) install GatherMate2_Data
2.) Once in game, open gathermate (/gathermate)
3.) Select the Import section
4.) select the data you want and click import.
5.) Profit

State in The War Within & Midnight

GatherMate2_Data and the background tools have been updated for The War Within and prepared for Midnight, and data for Herbs, Mining and Timber locations is already available in the latest update. We'll keep updating the database as more information is uploaded to Wowhead!

v3.7 doesn't work, getting error after choosing "Import" in the options from GaterMate2:

First off, wanted to say GREAT add on. I love it. That said, yesterdays update seems to have broken my import option as well. I've tried uninstalling, manual install, full reinstall, etc. Nothing. And I checked for any locks. None. Any clue? Thanks again.

Try download previous versions GatherMate2, GatherMate2_Data and importing data. I'm solved this problem by restoring my previous Gathermate2.lua in SavedVariables.

Same goes for me. Ive tried reinstalling, deleteing old LUA files, installing previous versions etc. Import option is still broken. The field for importing is empty.

hey guys,

please help me. idk why Gather Mate 2 doesn't show me the anything but the herbalism nods.
Tried to reinstall the addons, importing new database. Nothing halps.
Help me out!

in the interface options menu for gathermate2, you either have them filtered to "Never Show" or to show "Only with Profession"(and you do not have the profession) or "Only while Tracking"(and you are currently not tracking those nodes)...or the second possibility is you have every single type of those nodes filtered out in the "Filters" menu...third possibility is that those are Database Locked nodes...check the "Maintenance" menu under "Database Locking" and make sure that everything is unchecked...if none of this information is helpful, then I honestly do not know what the problem is...sorry...

tyvm. it was the locking of database. somehow i had it locked and i didin't imported the nev data to the EMPTY achy database :)

I have tried everything to import the data and have been unsuccessful. Gathermate2 works in game just fine. But when I bring up Import, there's nothing to import. I've tried putting the DB files in WTF>Account>Account Name>Realm>CHAR>Saved Variables and I still cannot see the DB's in game. I've tried putting them in JUST WTF>Account>Account Name>Saved Variables and this doesn't work either. So could someone PLEASE tell me where I can find the proper instructions and where these files have to go? 2 days now trying to figure this out. Gathermate2 is working fine at logging the stuff I find, but hell....why would I want to waste my time with this?

There are no instructions at all for installing the database. I've looked everywhere. I found a forum where someone said that it should go into the WTF>Account>AccountName>Saved Variables. I've done this and then gone into Gathermate2 in game and accessed the IMPORT tab and there's nothing there. Some solid instructions would be good to have for this thing. Anyone else get it to work or not? I'd have happily donated $10-15 for something like this, but not if the author isn't going to post some simple instructions.

Install this just like any other addon, extract the contents of the archive either directly to your "World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns" folder or use your preferred method for installing addons. You should have a new folder called "GatherMate2_Data". Make sure you enable the addon. Then follow the instructions in the "Description" tab above!

Hey I've done all that. The database files cannot be imported. I've put them in several locations and no matter what I've tried, the DB files do not show in Gathermate2 to be imported...there's nothing there.

Not sure what could be going wrong for you, the latest data file (v3.5) does include data, it imported just fine for me! Are you using GatherMate2 and not the old GatherMate? Have you checked your "World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns" folder to ensure both addons have their own folders in there? You should see (including folder paths for clarification) "World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\GatherMate2" and "World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\GatherMate2_Data" folders, alongside all your other installed addons. You shouldn't be putting any of the files in any other locations! Are you selecting the individual databases (Mines, Herbs, Fish, Treasure, Gases and Archaeology) for import? As a last resort you could try going to your "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<AccountName>\SavedVariables" folder and delete the GatherMate2.lua and GatherMate2.lua.bak files, then log in and try importing data again.

Forgot to add that once you've selected the individual databases you want to import, scroll down to the very bottom and click the "Import" button.

Do not pull the files out of this folder. This is an addon unto itself. As Grizzly said, there is only one place to put this addon.

Hi guys,
I think the Sturdy Treasure Chest treasure node is deprecated and will no longer be used in any region and can safely be removed.

I'm sorry, I of course meant the Solid Chest and not the Sturdy Treasure Chest.
Battered and Tattered, as well as all kinds of rogue footlockers are no longer of concern since they dont exist anymore or in case of footlockers, simply are irrelevant.
