This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
With permission of the author, I'll be helping keep this project up-to-date. One of the major features I've been revising is the Battle.net functionality - you'll now get Battle.net whispers integrated into the mod.
If you want to see also the Battle.net whisper you have to open WhisperFu.lua with a notepad and search for this line "self:RegisterEvent("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM", "OnSendWhisper")". Under this line you have to add this two line: self:RegisterEvent("CHAT_MSG_BN_WHISPER", "OnReceiveWhisper") self:RegisterEvent("CHAT_MSG_BN_WHISPER_INFORM", "OnSendWhisper") so you can see the whisper from a RealID.
That's what we like to hear. Works as a charm, thanks a ton mate.
And to add, this is - as gone19 said - the best whisper addon I've ever used. WIM sucks balls, as it's clumsy to have windows in your screen. And all the crap in the chat makes whispers disappear quickly. Multiple chatwindows are alright, but I prefer to split lulztalk from party/bg/raid chat as that's more important. Luckily it never broke, just this one issue.

This is by far the best whisper addon and it's worked for a very long time and now with the newest patch that changed the whole chat system it still works but only with people you are friends with and not RealID friends with :(
Hopefully there is a chance for an update to support RealID? I doubt it since it's been so long since it was updated but I figured maybe this comment would get an email somewhere :) Thanks in advance!
My wife wanted this mod after seeing it in action on my computer...so i copied the files over and get this error when logging in:

i recopied whisperfu, fubar, and ace3 from my computer to hers...mine works just fine and her's bumps errors....any ideas?
Considering the mod hasn't been updated in a year, I think a screen shot is not really in the question. But for others:
When your friend BobTheOrc whispers you it will show BobTheOrc's name in green on Fubar, Green = new messages, blue means you have replied to them, BobTheOrc's name in blue.
From here you can click highlight his name and see all of the whispers (limit set by the user). These can also include time stamps.
