Fontain

Table of Contents

Fontain is a simple Ace3 addon to give you a highly configurable set of controls over your UI's font choices.

You can set a master font for your whole UI, and even override SharedMedia so that all addons that use SharedMedia will use your selected font. Additionally, you have fine-grained control over every font in your UI, with a powerful wildcard matching system.

For example, if you want to set your master font to "Calibri", but want your tooltips all in "Bazooka", you could set the font for GameTooltip as you see fit, and all font strings that match GameTooltip* will be updated, including all derivatives. While this is often already done via inheritance, it does catch a number of outlying cases, giving you very powerful control over your UI's font selections.

I can't get my outgoing damage to change (the damage that pops up above your enemies head), how can I make it work?

and btw, Reset all/restore defaults doesn't work proper. After using these options some of my fonts are still changed :-/

I want to change the way names above charactermodels are shown. Not while they are embedded in a nameplate, but when the anme appear without being in a nameplate. Like the name appearing over your character. It is annoying me like hell I have no outline on those names, but when going through the options in fontain I just drown in the number of options of stuff to change, and none of them appears to be targeting "names".

Mind you, I can find the nameplate change just fine, but if you don't have nameplates on friendly targets, the nameplate font doesn't work on them, thus I am seeking for the option that works for names outside nameplates.

If you want to change the font of Name Tags, Main Menu etc. just create a folder called \Fonts in your \World of Warcraft folder, then copy the font you want into it (example calibri1.TTF), and rename it to FRIZQT__.TTF (note there are two "_").

Other default fonts are called
ARIALN.ttf (numbers)
skurri.ttf (large numbers)
MORPHEUS.ttf (mail and quest)

As of today, I fell love with this Addon. However, I had to disable it for a few reasons.

First, it lacks off Chat-font thingy, it would be great.
It was somewhat buggy, it actually did affect to my Chat, but then it disappeared during a logout to my alt.

Also, it lacks some size-modifier of Font in the main setup-window, would be great aswell, also to make it a lil' simpler.

Am I being too picky? lol

These 2 new things would make it so much better for me, and for everyone else, just like Nihlo said.

Nameplates works for me - did you reload the user interface after changing the font on the correct tab?

Great job, Antiarc. Not sure what's happening with ClearFont2, so I figured I'd give Fontain a try. I love it.
