FishPing
FishPing is not an addon. It works by replacing WoW sound files.
How to install:
Copy the "Data" folder inside FishPing to your "World of Warcraft" directory so that it forms:
/World of Warcraft/Data/Sound/Spells/FishingBobber_ver2_1.ogg
etc
Yes, this is all just a revival of the classic "FishPing" addon that stopped working as of 4.3.3 because the client now expects ".ogg" files rather than ".wav" files.

Posted Nov 23, 2014This does work! If you look at how http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/mute-wow-sounds had to change for Warlords, it's the same change needed here.
Instead of putting the folder in /World of Warcraft/Data/Sounds/Spells/FishingBobber_ver2_1.ogg you have to move it up a level as the Data folder is no longer used. So the path is now:
/World of Warcraft/Sounds/Spells/FishingBobber_ver2_1.ogg

So change the Folder (german Client) to
/World of Warcraft/Sound/Spells/FishingBobber_ver2_1.ogg
and i can hear the "Ping" sometimes. Most i can hear is the originally "Splash"
Any Suggestions?
