Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Hi, is it possible to hide certain buffs or a group of buffs in combat?

I can't get my firestone enchant on my web to be the same bar as my buffs. Can't really figure out how to config it, what is the option for it ?

Hi,

I used to use this addon in the past, and it's great. I installed it again now, but I can't white or black list anything. It doesn't remember buffs or debuffs like it used to. Kinda hard to set it up if you can't pick things to filter :)

What's wrong you think? I tried with both ace2 and 3 running.

when I have this mod active, the text in the bottom right of my screen that comes up when you hover over a skill or an item (or a buff), the text inside if its more than 2 lines, the line spacing is less than it normally is, each line is on the verge of overlapping the next... is there anyway to resolve this? even after using these bars for 30 minutes I love them

Under what menu is "hide blizzard buff frame"? i dont seem to be able to find it.

I suggested this to a mage friend for him to use it to track hot streak, he checks it under white list buffs, but it dose not show. Suggestions? Also is there a way to leave the buff icons and timers provided by the blizzard ui. He is mainly using it to track dmg related procs.

if he whitelisted it for the group it should show up; I don't have a highlevel mage to check :/

for the Blizzard buffs: just uncheck "Hide Blizzard Buff Frame"

great mod, i've used it since the begining of tbc.
i have a problem though, i hid the anchor and now i need to move the bars.

There are multiple ways:
- use the FuBar button or /ebb config to activate it via menu
- alt-leftclick a bar in that group

first off, thx for the great addon, it works awesome but i need a little help. last night i accidentally moved the debuff on its own and is no longer attached to the bottom of the buff bar which was very nice. how can i make the debuff bar attached to the buff bar?

Just move the group close under the buff group again and it should snap once you release it.

I pretty much just use this to override Blizzard's Buffs because my SpartanUI shows buffs/debuffs. So I have this enabled and just removed the groups. But every time I log on the 3 default bars come back. Any ideas?

Is it possible for this mod to show the effect of a buf, rather than its name? I recognise icons and can name the buffs, but forget what some of them do. It would be nice to see the icon with the effect next to it.

You can just set a different name for the buff that will be shown instead of its real name.
