Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Posted May 13, 2008I really do love this addon (Have been using it since.. well, seems like forever) and have found it invaluable. Thank you for sharing it with the world Elkano.
The only thing (Honestly!) I'd love to see added as a feature would be a "mouseover" feature for keeping frames hidden otherwise. I've 4 sets of bars up on each of my toons, and they really can start to stack up to take a lot of real estate.
Minor frustration though.. I LOVE this addon and thank you again

Posted May 7, 2008My biggest issue is that normally, the amount of buffs/debuffs/etc showing isn't too bad for solo and 5 mans. But when I'm in a raid...dear lord....the buffs alone can stretch down the screen. Right now I just change the height of the buffs to where I can just barely read them if I squint, but it doesn't really seem like a viable fix.
Other than just turning them off, any suggestions?

Posted May 5, 2008I have a Question:
I'm a rogue and I want a bar for my debuff rupture on my target. So I created a new bar and put rupture on the whitelist. Now, the bar shows my rupture on my target, but the rupture of my rogue mates, too. Is there an option, that just my rupture is shown? I couldn't find an option for that.

Posted May 6, 2008The API doesn't tell you which player the de/buff came from. So there is no direct way to set a group to only show those from a specific player.
But theoreticaly the de/buffs caused by you should be the only ones that show up with detailed time information on the target so setting the group to blacklist timeless buffs should work in theory.

Posted Apr 26, 2008Elkano,
Could you possibly add a timeleft filter? (I see you have min. timemax and max. timemax) I would love to put a new buffbar group in the middle of the screen that would have buff bars appear there when they got close to running out.

Posted Apr 28, 2008a timeleft filter isn't as easy as it may sound in first place. timemax is a static value for the buff and isn't going to change. But timeleft is dynamic so I would have to constantly check the filters and refresh the bargroup's set of bars. So with the current code design don't expect a timeleft filter to show up. sorry.

Posted Apr 25, 2008<3 the addon!
I've positioned my bars and hidden the anchor. But now I wish to reposition the bars and can't find the menu as I can no longer right click on the bars as the buff will be removed. How do I now make these changes or show the anchor?
Thanks

Posted Apr 28, 2008well, I know, but in that menu you have an option to show the anchor. Also you can show it via the FuBar tooltip by clicking the group's line.

Posted Apr 21, 2008Hey Elkano. nice addon, gotta love it. But ehm, i have a questiong for you about the shown buffs. Is it possible to make the anchor at the buttom of the buffs? So that the buffs/debuffs grows up?
If you know what i mean

Posted Apr 22, 2008I have them on "Grow up", but the debuffs are still shown below the anchor.. I was thinking of anchor at the buttom, debuffs ontop of that and normal buffs at the top of the debuffs.. Is that possible?

Posted Apr 19, 2008just wondering, does this addon show debuffs inflicted on your target by other players? ie) if a mage sheeps my target, and i have polymorph set to be shown, will it show up?

Posted Apr 21, 2008since there is no way to tell who cast a de/buff, yes it should show up. But since the API only retunrs times for spells cast on/by you you won't see how long the sheep is going to hold, only that the mob is affected by it.

Disable tracking in group 1's filter settings.
