Eclipse Bar Plus

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

This addon has been created to add some extra functionality to the Eclipse Bar for Balance Druids in Cataclysm. The way Blizzard implemented the bar is quite static. It's not able to move and is locked to the player frame. Also it does not offer much extra functionality.

With EclipseBarPlus we made several changes and improvements to the way the standard eclipse bar works.

You can access the configuration screen for this addon with /ebp. It is also listed in the addon configuration in the WoW interface settings.

The addon has been released. Waiting for feedback and comments. If you come up with a suggestion or bug, please use the ticket tracker. Also we are looking for people willing to add some languages to this addon. Please use the URL at the bottom of this description to do so.

Changes made

Added a custom configuration screen
Detached the bar from the playerframe
Made the bar moveable
Made the bar scaleable
Possibility to show/hide the original Blizzard eclipse bar
Possibility to only show the bar when in combat
Possibility to only show the bar when in moonkin form
Customizing the display of values on the bar:
- Font of value on the bar is scaleable
- Power can be displayed in both positive (solar) as negative (lunar) power
- Power can be displayed as a percentage instead of the actual power

I always enjoyed this add-on. It's sleek, nice, and well fitting compared to most "eclipse bar" add-ons. My only complain and the sole reason I moved off it was that it didn't have an option to show empowerment charges unlike some of it's lesser known counter parts. Would love to see that added in and would gladly return.

Looks nice, but the "only show in moonkin form" and "only show in combat" doesn't work.

Hey! Great addon!

The "dont show out of combat" thing doesnt really work for me tho.

Ive both "only in moonkin" and "out of combat" options enabled and it wont show up. I shift into moonkin form and it shows up. Ive to enable and disable the "out of combat" option again for it to dissapear... then it shos up agian when i shift into moonkin form.

Any idea how to fix that?

Could you add an option to hide this during pet battles? It's just quite distracting but I don't want to hide it outside of combat.

I made a WeakAuras Eclipse power tracker that uses your original artwork and with your blessing, I'd like to share it with others someday. If not, I totally understand and will keep it to myself....forever.

We've accidentally released 0.11 too early before adding a bunch of localization strings, which prevented the addon from working. 0.11.1 should fix the issue, apologies for the inconvenience.

Ebp 0.11 update (latest) doesn't work. No bar displayed.No way to enter ebp menu.System doesn't recognize addon or /ebp command.lots of lua error.Doesn't work even with all addon unabled.

Just installed this - /ebp doesnt work - doesnt show in wow interface addon settings ingame - have reinstalled and activated/deactivated/activated on reloads to no avail - upon relogging getting LUA error regarding Ace 3 Locale regarding missing value for opacity

Hola excelente addons lo unico que con la opcion seleccionada de solo mostrar en batalla desaparece tambien la barra de blizzard. Cuando estoy en batalla aparecen las 2. Gracias y espero que lo soluciones saludos

Any way to change the width of the bar?

Everything is very cramped together in the little short bar. Would be easier to see the timer changing with a wider bar.

I agree 100%. The lack of adjustable width is my only complaint on this addon. I use it anyway, because it is still the best Eclipse bar addon that is still supported. But some extra width, or adjustable width, would make timing spells much easier.

Before 6.x, I used to use Balance Power Tracker - the width of that one was perfect (perhaps 2.5x - 3x longer than EBP.)

Now that I thought for a sec about BPT, a "vertical growth" option in EBP would be awesome as well.

The eclipse bar doesn't show up. The addon is there in the Interface menu, and I can hide the Blizzard bar using it, but the eclipse bar is not on my screen. I've tried disabling all other addons, but no joy. Is there someway to reset the position of the bar? I wonder if it is somehow offscreen?
I checked and unchecked Lock, and both "only show" options. I've logged off and on, exited and restarted as well

What I would like for EBC is to make the bar ONLY blue when I am an Lunar mode and ONLY yellow when I am in Solar mode.
