Table of Contents

Chatter is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff, including:

- Hiding buttons
- Custom aliases for channel names
- Coloring of player names by class or deterministic HSV formula, and player levels next to names
- Custom font and font size for your chat frames
- Custom background, border, and positioning for the edit box
- Option to let the edit box border color match the color of the channel you are typing in
- Channel colors remembered by name, rather than by number
- Scrolling your chat frames with the mouse wheel.
- Sticky channels, configurable
- Ability to copy a chat frame's contents to your clipboard
- Ability to copy URLs to your clipboard
- Ability to customize the background and border of your chat frames
- Timestamps
- A /tt command to send a tell to your target
- A module that turns the word "invite" into clickable links that let you invite the speaker.
- Highlights both for custom keywords in specific channels
- Chat fading toggles
- Text justification
- Autologging (Off by default)
- Alt linking
- Much larger and smaller chat frames than default
- A Groupsay (/gr) command to talk to your group, whether that's battleground, raid, or party.
- Chat Tab look-n-feel modifications
- Paging through chat tabs with the scroll wheel

everyone complaining like the mod is broken on a patch day please chill... it has already been updated once today (patch day), and i am sure that the authors are working out all the details.

Problems i have noticed:
--chat box when placed in the very bottom left corner of the screen gets reset on reload of any type (new buttons?)
--chat tabs are not truely hidden any longer
--after changing some settings attemtping to click on the tabs actually opens the edit box (i have the edit box on top / click may be in line with tabs)

thanks for the super mod and the upkeep, hope this patch doesnt eat too much of your time..

I am seeing the same problems. When I get a new realid friend request the little icon doesn't pop up letting me know either. I'm wondering if there will be an option to enable/disable that.

Seemed to work pretty well for me, but the only changes I ever made were to move the input box and change the fonts. Thanks for the quick update!

You are awesome for updating this so quickly. Thank you.

The only thing I'm missing from before 3.3.5 is the ability to only show chat tabs when I hover my mouse over them - the default blizz tabs fade but always show at least a little. I'd like them to be fully hidden when my mouse isn't hovering over them. Would you consider adding a "show on mouseover" option to the chat tabs module?

Chat screen settings are not saving on logout. This is with version 1.2-1-g51559cc.

And links (like achievement links) don't work either.

And emphasize self as well. ><

I am having a problem resizing the chat window. Every time I try to use the move arrow to move it down it crawls up the side of my screen and I can't move the top back down! Help! lol

Hi,

Same problem here. A lot of options are gone.

here me2, just get the new version via client, most options ARE gone wtf.

i have done multiple changes in these options, why kick all off in a new version? it looks like the standart blizz chat window options are stille here, all the imba chatter inventions are gone.

Trying to configure this to always do a /RW to myself when I get a whisper, but I cannot get it to work. Any pointers?

I love this addon and have been using it for a long time. Just winder if it's going to be updated with 3.3.5 looked like that patch broke this addon with the addition of real ID and whatnot.

Great add on I love it and I can't see myself with out it. But there is one issue I would like o bring to your attention when ever I join/quit a guild the chat box font size gets smaller until I reload my ui.

Hiho, great addon, but still i have a little suggestion:

Refering to the funktion to send a chat message to an sct addon, this function is great, to notice when somebody wrote my name, but in our guild some people have such stupid auto grz and welcome addons. Maybe you could do something to filter that or build in a function to disable that function a few seconds after the loggin
