Cartographer_QuestInfo

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Cartographer_QuestInfo is a quest library module for Cartographer.

Cartographer_QuestInfo has built-in database for quests, no need to record quest first, you get the info instantly.

Provide info for nearly every quest. Quest info are data mined from wowhead/allakhazam/wowbox website, so it is almost complete and up-to-date.
Provide quest start and end npc or item info, you get the name and location.
Provide quest objective info, you get the mob level and location.
Provide quest series info.
Add quest level to quest log and NPC dialog.
Works on enUS, frFR, deDE, esES, koKR, ruRU, zhCN, zhTW client.

I've checked "Load out of dates addons" and changed the number in the .toc, but it still doesn't work. Could the fact that I'm on a mac have anything to do with it (please don't flame me because I'm on a mac)?

This addon works fine as is with the WoW update 3.1.0. If you're having problems with it, just do like others have already stated -- enable "Load out of date addons" or just manually up the interface number in the .toc file.

I wanted to leave a comment for the author --- please do not completely abandon updating this addon. I recently switched back to this addon after trying out another quest helper addon, which only proved to be buggy and far too inaccurate for me. Cartographer_QuestInfo is by far the best in comparison.

Feature request: If possible, enable a way to limit the number of quest mob icons shown on the map per quest, or only show the quest icons if they are a certain distance away from each other. With some quests, the map can be a mass of mob icons because it pin points all the mobs even if they're physically right next to each other.

This addon works as-is with 3.1.0. Just select "Load out of date addon" and put a checkmark by it.

If you don't want to tell it to load out of date addons, then use Notepad to modify one line in Cartographer_QuestInfo.toc

It's the very first line:

## Interface: 30100

how do i get this lib to work, i put it in my addons section and then when i go to quest info on th map, and hit show available quests, nothing happens. help please

This addon has suddenly stopped working for me. It was working fine yesterday (even with the release of the new Cartographer), now it's not. Any ideas?

Great work. The mob tooltip is really useful and makes the addon just greater (which semmed impossible). Really good addon and recommended for any level.

Love this addon. Simple yet effective. I tried quest helper and it just drove me nuts. Again I really love this. It just works!
