This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

i Delete and reinstall all Cartographer addons/modules/plugins.
it is saying Dependency is missing n the addon list when i log n to wow :(
i just reinstalled the one i deleter and it is workable but it stell is coming up with

I have been trying to download Cartographer (Complete) without success. The "Addon Names folder is not in the downloaded, unzipped file. Please advise.

the database sharing soesn't work for me yet Carto says "sharing completed" any info/update on this??

This is the best map addon ive ever used...keep up the good work and i also wanted to ask you to put our cords near the minimap so if we want to know where we are we dont have to open the map every second.

I have never done any kind of addons before to start off. I did just what it said but there is no "Addonname" file in my "My Mods" folder that I made and downloaded to. There are several files in there but not with that name so i feel like I downloaded right. Is there some other download I need for this Cartographer to work? Oh I have XP if that helps. Any advice would be appreciated.

drop the cartographer folder here:
C:\games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns

this is assuming c:\games\ as your install directory

Install the Curse Client, or the WowAce.com Addon Updater and install Cartographer through that... It makes it much easier for a first-timer to install and manage their addons.

for some reason i have no foglight option, my world map is fully displayed and theirs no way for me to adjust it so i can see where i havent explored yet, any way to fix this? ive tried reinstalling changing profiles disabling every other addon i have, nothing seems to work.

I love this add on, but with the instance maps, is there a way to show where people are on the map? I'd really really love that feature, because instances can be quite confusing especially if they're big, you're dead and cant find your group again because it's not shown on the map...? Or is there a plugin for this?

I'm getting an error message when I pick Netherdust. It give me an lua:758, reverse translation for Netherdust Bush. I see in the Addon LUA file that there is no entry for Netherdust. Can I just add it in?

Um... I must have missed something... I did not get a Cartographer_MIning nor Cartographer_Herbalism file in the zip file... Answers?

Get them from files.wowace.com. Ckknight doesn't update this page much anymore (the description says Cartographer uses Ace2 but it doesn't anymore) so it's best to just update from wowace.

This is a question about the icons on the minimap aswell; is it possible to turn them off completely so that I get the normal small dots I get without Cartographer? And if so, where in which settings. Thanks.

I have problems with group colors. everytime I log in and enter a BG, all the icons on BG map are white. I figured that if I disable and enable it again it will work fine, but I kinda got sick of doing this.
Anyone have/had the same problem?
